Big Chief products

I selected the option of doing the full payment at one time. I got charged the 141.66GBP, through Paypal (which I JUST set up, for this order).

Just bit the bullet and ordered this gem. A bit pricey, but I always said I would grab a premium 4th Doc figure if they made one. I selected the payment plan option, and paid through Paypal. Hope it goes through OK.

It should be fine - I selected the same option when they started taking orders. In fact, I just made my first payment - no issues what-so-ever - just hang on to your Paypal E-mails/receipts just to be safe though...

They did say the factory messed up the scarf pattern a bit, and that will be fixed.

If you already purchased the Amy Pond figure, you simply need to email Big Chief with your proof of purchase. Your only cost will be the shipping charge.

I knew all that. I just wanted to know if it had happened yet. Has anyone received the head? Or heard word of when it would be shipped out?

COOL! I am relieved to see the quality of these, after some of the issues I heard about with the Amy Pond head.

From their Facebook:

We have been advised by our vendors that mass production of these heads will be completed by the end of October. The heads will be shipped together with the 10th and 4th Doctors, for which we are still waiting on confirmation of a ship date. So please bear in mind that they will ship after the end of October.

We will be sending out PayPal invoices soon for shipping costs to those customers who have sent us proof of purchase for their Amy figures via email. If you have not yet sent through your proof of purchase email, then please send it to support@bigchiefstudios.co.uk, to receive one of the alternate heads.

According to Big Chief, the plan right now is for their vendor to ship these out to Big Chief so that they receive them along with the 4th and 10th Doctor figures. Basically we are looking at somewhere around Christmas time, but keep in mind Big Chief is still waiting for confirmation on this so the date may change.

Has anyone gotten acknowledgement from Big Chief after sending them proof of purchase? I forwarded them my e-mail order receipt, but I wasn't sure if that was sufficient, and I never got any kind of reply from them.

You just get the PayPal notice right now until their system is fixed.

In other news, not that it's going to help a ton of us here, but they are doing a special "Day of the Doctor" edition of the 10th figure. Limited to 100 units. Available only at the Official 50th Anniversary Special:

Sculpt looks great, but it is still an obvious WIP. SO I guess that means the preorder won't be happening for a bit longer.

I asked, and someone said that the guys in the booth were still hoping they'd get a pre-order up before the end of the year, at least.

Thats good news. I'll remain optimistic then.
