Its the same head. Just one is a terrible photo job and one isn't.

Dang... this is very tempting. The accessories look good too. He's finally getting a fez! The Handles accessory is an awesome touch. Hopefully he'll have a sonic screwdriver and His/Amy's glasses.

The TARDIS is coming... it won't be made out of wood in the final thing, though....

The overall dimensions of the window frames, roughly "square" suggests it will be one of the NuWho designs. Not complaining, just stating an observation.

I am thinking Moffat's TARDIS is likely. I just hope they put the new 11 or Capaldi up for preorder soon!

I shudder to think how much it will cost... and am curious to see what 'features' it will have.

But it bears the question...which interior?  I mean, given Big Chief has released 3 Doctor who each had their own unique console rooms, and before too long (in theory) two more Doctors from very different eras, there's two more possibilities.  Actually, Tom could accounts for 3 different designs and Matt Smith, two.

Just being a "pain".  ;-)

Addendum: Uh, never mind, I see the "blurb" stated "11th Doctor" TARDIS (and the exterior seems to support that). So I guess it will be the later Smith interior (with the blue-white illumination). Eh, I can deal with that. (Close enough to "classic era" for gub'ment work.)

The figure looks excellent, and I didn't know it was coming with a Capaldi head (and neck)!

Could someone remind me? When Big Chief first announced these figures, didn't they say they would release new outfits for them? Isn't this for the most part, a new outfit?

Being in North America, I'm not overjoyed at having to drop another $300 for new clothes and a figure I already have in order to get a Capaldi and Cyberman head!

And the new Tom Baker head is £35 !!  $70 plus shipping!!

They were originally going to produce clothing sets but they are one of the most expensive parts apart from the heads themselves. They decided not to go down that road so by doing a completely new figure supplying new head and new clothes, they stand to get their return on them more than they would if they just did the clothes.. Perhaps they could have done clothes/head packs instead but the actual body isn't that expensive overall so wouldn't really be much cheaper.

The resolve to wait until after the Holidays to order the TARDIS is weakening...

I have it preordered. I chose the payment plan.
Not missing out since there's only 1000 worldwide. This is a massive beauty.

I will preorder this Thursday when I get paid...
