But this goes to prove the idea that we had before that the Eye Patch is used to be able to see the Silence and then remember them afterwards. That'd explain why there are pics of the Doc, Amy and Rory (and River too, as shown in some trailers and indeed the prequel above) with Eye Patches on. And since those Clerics have Eye Patches, it makes sense.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if it turns out NOT to be the reason behind the eyepatches.

I'm still surprised, after all I've read about the episode..that it is only a 45 minute one..

I thought it was 50 minutes long? Either way, I'm definitely looking forward to this one, seems like it's going to be big and action-packed!

I believe it is 45 because that is what the details/episode listings for the 'complete series six' set revealed. When the set was announced, they revealed the episode runtimes for the whole series.

Great prequel. Can't wait to see this next week and to finally get answers! It looks like people are right that mentioned that the whole eyepatch thing is to prevent memory loss from the Silence. At least I hope so because it's not really a fashion accessory I would promote to people...unless they're a pirate.

Im mad that this could be the most anticipated finale of Nuwho so far and its only a 1 parter, where as the rest have been 2-3.

I prefer one parters because they tend to be much more mad and full of action. If it was a two-parter it would follow the infamous tradition of the first part and its cliffhanger being amazing.. But the follow up to the cliffhanger and the rest of the second part would be terrible. For example, The Stolen Earth/Journey's End.
