Thus far, every regeneration sequence we've seen has had a different color for different characters. That suggests to me that it's not a budget issue, it's a aesthetic choice. Good point, never thought of that before. |

But you wouldn't remember it even if you saw it. Coincidentally, what does that mean for the Silents that are killed due to hypnotic suggestion? How are they going to handle clean up? Or is there now a spot right outside the Oval Office that stinks to high heaven for reasons no one can fathom? |

| If only Moff could have had the bodies fade away upon death.
I guess that since we're supposedly going to kill the Silence on sight, my "Silence! I kill you!" macro wasn't far off at all... |

I have a Hypothesis : remember the Lodger Both Craig and Sophie Touched the Silence Console. Is it possible the Console took DNA Samples? Moffit if your Reading this fedex me a metric Ton of Aspirin for my headache from all this!!!! Oh Why is the light on my palm on right Now |

| so, can anyone explain to me, why the silents, who can completely obliterate people, would be wiped out by puny humans? none of them are going to fight back, and blast a few people along the way? am i the only one who thinks that's a big plot hole in an alien invasion/fight story? |

The Silence have to "Charge up" their attack, where as Humans are a far more aggressive lot with weapons that are faster to fire. heck, River Song took out a room full of the dudes who were all actively trying to kill her. How did she do it? She was shooting the ones who were closest to being "charged" first. This is remarked upon in the episode. I'm sure a Silent could take out a few people if given the time and opportunity. But they've been accustomed to not being remembered for so long, they're likely not used to automatic hostility when spotted and would be overwhelmed quickly. |

| I brought this up several posts back in this thread but I wanted to raise it again because I really wanted an opinion.
When Rory asks River "What are you a Doctor of?" Without turning around, she simply swings her arm behind her and shoots one of the Silents that was sneaking up on her and says "Archaeology!".
If she wasn't looking directly at the Silent, how did she know it was there? Sneaking up on someone is the ONE thing The Silents should be the absolute BEST at.
We've all seen the "cool" action-flick gimmick of the hero shooting the bad guy without looking, but was this all it was? I'd be disappointed that they ignored one of the established rules of The Silents simply to have a cool action "hook".
Granted River is very intuitive and I'm not yet convinced that she's NOT part-timelord, but even she and The Doctor had to resort to tricks to record their encounters with The Silents. Just wondering if there was something else going on there or was this a genuine "goof" on the part of Moffat and I'm thinking about it too much? |

| Its Steven Moffit writing
The River Shoot out reminded me of Robocop. I think we shall see them again Remember that Prisoner Zero knew about them etc. Now what we should be mad at is they Dressed Amy like a Farm hand most of the episode. They really need to go to the Planet of Bikini next!!!!!!!! no more of this Green Acres wardrobe |

She was looking at Rory, and Rory reacted to the Silent. Using Rory's facial expression as a basis, she determined there was a Silent behind her and acted accordingly. |

Bikini planet? heck, let's send her to planet Nudex in the Nakedolia system! Where ALL local customs MUST be observed! Unfortunately I guess that would also mean The Doctor and Rory too. (with all respect to any guys or girls here that would be in favor of that.) - Rust wrote:

Did he? I'll have to pay closer attention when I watch it again. I've only seen it once so far, but if so this is totally valid. |

I thought it showed Rory in the shot, but it actually doesn't. She's still looking directly at him, so it still might be as good an explanation as any but she is really fast to react. There's also her odd line right before hand, where she goes: "<My old Friend? It's hard to understand> didn't see that did he? He gets ever so cross." She sounded...different...there. |
