| Even though Tom Baker was the first Doctor that I was introduced to way back in 1978, Jon Pertwee will always be my favorite. His Doctor was a man of action, and authority. When the third Doctor arrived on the scene you just knew something was going to hit the fan. While many of my favorite episodes are from the Jon's run as the Doctor, my absolute favorite is The Daemons. I first saw it when I was 13 years old, and it blew me away. It has remained my favorite storyline ever since. It's nice to see so many other Pertwee fans here as well. Enjoy! P.S. - After all this Daemons talk, I think I'll sit down after GenCon this weekend, and watch the DVD again.  |

Had to go with Silurians, because I loved it so much as a kid, was the first Target book I bought, and I spent so much time making up my own further episodes with them.
But it's almost a physical pain to not also be able to vote for Spiders!
For me, Daleks and other monsters were never scary - they weren't real. But Spiders are real! That *could* happen! At age 9, that was terrifying. Plus, at that point, I knew nothing about 1 or 2, so when he died at the end, I was completely shocked/horrified/devastated. |

| Oh yes. I was stunned.
The picture is much sharper and the color much more vivid. The sound has been cleaned up as well. It looks like could have been filmed last year or even last month. Plus with the additional features added to the original ones, this is a much better release overall.
It's my understanding the reissues of The Claws of Axos and Inferno are getting the same complete makeover in sound and picture quality.
