The Hobbit (1977)

I gotta say this is still as entertaining and slightly terrifying as when I saw it as a kid on TV when it was first broadcast. This is one of those that you could have on audio and follow along with drawings and it would still hold your attention!

The Night Stalker (1972)

Fifty years ago today January 11th 1972 ABC premiered a television movie that would break viewing records, lead to a follow up the next year, and then a short lived TV series; Kolchak: The Night Stalker.

Time to dust off the old DVD of "The Sea Devils"

Candleshoe (1977)

I probably saw this on The Wonderful World of Disney as I don't remember seeing it in 1977. I might have but all I can remember from '77 was Star Wars.  This and Lieutenant Robin Crusoe, and Unidentified Flying Oddball (which I do remember seeing in the theater) are a few of the live action films from Disney before the '80s that seemed to be geared more toward the young teens. Shame none of them are on blu-ray.

I enjoyed this new season of The Umbrella Academy despite it barely adapting anything I liked from "Hotel Oblivion." This season had the extra elements of kooky novelty I felt the previous season was short on.

The supersized Stranger Things episodes were worthwhile! It felt much more satisfying than season three.

I just finished watching JC's The Thing (1982) on Demand from TCM. (Even though I own it.)
I was curious what they were going to cut because they rated it TV 14 V(iolence). It wasn't cut AT ALL.
All the gory parts and swears were there intact. I don't really understand how they
can show that on free TV. Interesting.

Star Trek Voyager - Season 7 - Shattered. I always liked this one. But now watching it 20 years later, it's like
visiting old friends. I like that there's a smattering of everyone.

Do not have a drink every time The Boys season 3 says "supe." Your liver will kill you in self-dense. Have a glass of milk instead.

10 Cloverfield Lane - I was never a fan of the first one, but I came across this and thought I'd give it a whirl. I really liked it.

Sticking with the tried and true tonight. The Thing and Nosferatu.

The Abominable Snowmen. I enjoyed this. Now it makes me want a Yeti figure! (But I know they'll never make one.)

How is the overall package? Lots of good bonus features?

I actually ended up just buying the episodes from (The Big River in Brazil). But I must say, i liked it so much that I will be buying the blu ray for all the extras and etc.

Continuing with my 2nd Dr kick. I just finished "The Invasion". Next up - "The Web of Fear".

Doctor Who - Robot (Episode 1)

To mark the anniversary of the first broadcast of this episode on December 28th 1974 I am watching the first episode!

So now the big question is how much of the final Riverdale season will be set in the alternate past. So much has changed since season five that it’d be very unsatisfying if they didn’t return to the present until the series finale.

Even without being a gamer, I enjoyed this a lot. It's reminiscent of Guardians Of The Galaxy. Hopefully it's more popular than Willow & SHAZAM! 2, which were also irreverent fantasy adventures. Now please get everyone you know to start calling this movie DADHAT.
