| While #1 is highly plausible and #7 seems like a natural fit, the rest of this list is pretty ridiculous. #3 would be the Master, not the Doctor. #4 had too big of a movie career in the 70s to stoop to doing weekly TV. #5 was 22 in 1981 and an unknown until 1984. (If they wanted to go with an "unknown" Harry Anderson would have made a better fit.) |

| I really enjoy the casting for 1-7, whether it makes "sense" or not (And Vincent Price is brilliant casting. I think he would have made a great Doctor). It's when they hit Jeff Goldblum onward that the list goes pear-shaped. I have zero idea what they were thinking for 9-12.
Harrison Ford as the War Doctor, though...especially with that line attached to it...I'll give them that one. |
