The plasticine and the 'yellow' Marx Dalek, i remember being the only 'Who' toys i had in the late 70s. It was 78 i got the Dalek and it must have been 79 when i got the Prof's 3D set from Asda. The artwork of the box was the inspiration for me to start drawing at that age.
I remember watching 'Destiny' and having this cool 'Remus' set at the same time. Even at 4 i didn't use the plasticine for what you had to use it for, i just kept making plasticine figs of Tom( with blue jeans ) and the Tardis.
Even in Nursery i would build models of the Tardis out of empty boxes with lamps made from washing up liquid tops.
Ahhh, those were the years, no computers and no VCRS but a lot of quality summers, especially 1979.
One thing for sure the artwork used for the merchandise during the late 70s was magic, the D/Fisher box art was awesome and so was the T.Tuner, talking K9,Daleks,candies,jigsaws,bagetelles,puzzles,Annuals etc.
