Best Pertwee Story?

I'm only through 3 season of Pertwee, but what do you consider his best story?

All this talk of The Ambassodors of Death has me interested now.

I don't like to use terms such as "best," since that's so subjective. I think my favorite, though, is The Sea Devils. It covers all the bases in terms of the things that define the Pertwee Era: good UNIT action (by Havoc!), the Doctor attempting to find peaceful solutions, the Master generally mucking everything up, cool monsters...

I have a bunch of favorites, naturally. I can't pick just one.

For me, it's Daemons... but Ambassadors and Inferno are right up there too.

My favs are either Inferno or The Sea Devils. I have not seen The Daemons, Mind of Evil, or Ambassadors of Death. As far as I know, I have seen all the rest.

Planet of the Daleks.

IMHO, Pertwee is one Doctor whose stories are all enjoyable on some level. Best?

If I had to pick one, I think I'd go with Inferno.

So you have to pick ONE as the best story. I choose one that has not been mentioned yet,

The Claws of Axos

"What?", you say. Here is why I choose it.

It is only 4 episodes long.
It has The Master.
It has funky monsters.
It has such a 70's vibe with the Axon ship and music.
It has a moral message that isn't so heavy handed.
It has Jo Grant
It has UNIT and The Brig.
It explores time travel in some respects as well as the TARDIS
And most of all, it is a fun little romp!

You know, Claws does get overlooked a lot. And I really love that episode. And it has a CIA agent looking for the Master....which to me always meant he had done something in the United States during some off screen adventure.

I'd like give a shoutout to Frontier in Space.

Another all-time favorite.

The Time Warrior has always been a top pick of mine. Cracking Holmes script, atypical (historical) setting, excellent introduction of the Sontarans (and Sarah Jane).

If you need a specific answer, I'll go with Doctor Who and the Silurians, but I do love them all.

Sorry I cant pick one best one... your talking about the finest era of Doctor Who.

inferno for me- I love a proper parallel universe story

I am 3 eps into The Daemons, and digging it quite a bit so far.

Didn't care for the Daemons, personally. Probably my least favorite Pertwee story.

My favorite is probably Frontier in Space.

I also love Axos. Proper icky space monster that absorbs people. Almost like The Blob, but mixed with tentacles. Rarely has there ever been a 'spaghetti monster' in Who, and Axos is it. And then some. Makes me hungry for lasagna.

'Silurians', 'Inferno', and 'Ambassadors' are my top three favourites. I couldn't possibly narrow it down to just one!

I think it has to be Inferno, because the Doctor really is in peril, and what happens is shown to affect him a lot. The Dæmons and Carnival of Monsters are very good as well, but I think the former is very much the cast's story – Inferno is perhaps Jon Pertwee's best performance.
