| Nope. But it hasn't been much. Since Doctor Who is a British show, they tend not to hype it up too soon. (Most British shows don't even announce when they'll start until a month in advance.) If they do start much hype internationally, it'll likely start with SDCC. |

| There is no "secret" screening of the episode. There are tickets available to the general public for a BFI screening on August 18. If you live in London, the heart of Doctor Who, then you're encouraged to attend. It's only a day trip to London from most of the country so any UK resident could really go. The showrunners will also take the episode around to schools and media groups for previews. I think they also had events in New York last year with Matt Smith & Co for the American fans brought to us by BBCAmerica. Hopefully the August 18 kick-off for advanced screenings means the actual series will begin on TV by the end of August or the first week of September. "of the Daleks" has become tradition and something that the fans who write for the show like to include. At least they dropped the "Rxxx of the Daleks" as they were running out of family friendly titles. They're trying to drum up audience share for the premiere much like Barry Letts did to kick-off the season in 1972. Nothing wrong with announcing your star to generate higher viewing figures. Although the new series did break with the "...of the..." convention for Dalek and then the Daleks were the big surprise at the end of - Spoiler:
Army of Ghosts
. So there is no rule that they always have to do things a certain way, but in this case it's probably for the best. |

| I personally would use different titles to keep the surprise of the Daleks being used. For my own Dalek stories, I never use "____ of the Daleks". When showing Doctor Who to friends, I often fast foreword the opening credits so they don't know what beasties are going to be in it. |

| "Resurrection of the Daleks" was originaly entitled "The return" to hide the comeback. |

Personally, I feel it means Daleks so insane other Daleks lock them up. |

No kidding. The last 2 times we saw them they were serving tea and begging for mercy from a woman. My daughter laughs when I tell her I was scared of them as a kid....

| My wife gets a migraine whenever they show up. And my eight year old girl just rolls her eyes "These guys again?"
Sad, really. |
