5th Doctor Costume

Great stuff, Ronpur! Your dog looks a bit weary at you dressing up though.

The dog is an advanced model of K9 that actually looks and acts like a real dog.

The dog, Jackson, is my brothers dog. He saw him in the street one day, dirty, skinny and went to a 7-11, bought some cold cuts to lure him into his car. After he and his vet fixed him up,he is the greatest, most well behaved and loving dog ever. He was obviously trained before he was put on the street. He can do several tricks, so somebody had him and dumped him on the street.

That's really nice to hear! All our pets have been rescued. Our dog is from a Blue Cross rescue sanctuary, one of our cats was almost about to be put out on the street when a neighbour was moving to a new house where he wasn't allowed pets so we adopted her as our own, our other cat was given to us by a family friend and our rabbit was found bouncing around our front garden one day - we put up 'Found' posters but no one got in contact with us so we adopted him, too.

I was going to ask you about him when I got Dalek Kitty, I assume he has gotten helathier in the interim?

How on earth did you get the coat? I've been looking for the coat for ages....

The coat was something I got lucky with and found a post on Gallifrey Base about. It came from a company called Silhouettes and is actually a women's riding coat. it was marked down to $19.99. I did some modifications on it, like switching button sides and the red trim. They are no longer carried by them, but do turn up on eBay from time to time. I had a bit of guess work on the size, and basically just used my chest size as the corresponding bust size. And it fits great.

I got a new shirt on Monday and added question mark pins to the collar.

Looks great! And it's a really nice story about the dog. We got two kittens from the Cats Protection League, a pair of sisters. They were from a litter of four who were found in a plastic bag and put into a car crusher. They were all so young that their eyes hadn't even opened yet. The woman from the league went to pick them up, and she described it as 'Four of the biggest, burliest guys ever' each had a kitten in their pockets.

Dad made the mistake of taking both me AND Simon to look at them, and we both fell in love with a different one. Fortunately we were in a good state money-wise and bought them both. Nearly 10 years on, and they're all doing well

I haven't posted about my costume in a while, but this weekend, I got to use it when I met Paul McGann.  He said "Marvelous! Hello, Doctor!" I got him to autograph the picture as well.

Here, also are the pictures I had taken with Colin Baker and Peter Davison.  So, I now have met 3 of the classic Doctors!

I hope they get Sylvester McCoy back to Hurricane Who soon! LOL.
