There’s even less ground to cover with his character. Star Wars is already Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Logan.
Colin Trevorrow has been booted from Untitled Star Wars Sequel: Episode IX. People who’ve had the misfortune of seeing The Book of Henry tell me this is fantastic news. https://mattthecatania.wordpress.com/2017/09/06/great-disturbances-in-the-force/

Why isn't this in the Black Series yet?

Good question.
I would have gotten this 3.75" version of Jyn, if I could ever have found it...but I didn't.
They just did a Finn in the Black Series in an Imperial Officer disguise...

This is perhaps the best likeness on a 3.75 Leia figure in quite awhile...

I love "half-off the clearance price" sales at Gamestop...
I have a bunch of Gentle Giant's SW busts from the other trilogies, but resisted getting any of these because I figured I needed to stop somewhere, but with Rey being around $45 and Poe being almost $18...I couldn't resist.
Poe's a GS exclusive, btw.

After being convinced that there doesn’t need to be any more Star Wars movies, The Last Jedi restored my faith in The Force. https://mattthecatania.wordpress.com/2017/12/16/the-last-jedi-renewed-my-faith-in-star-wars/

Did get to see The Last Jedi on Thursday night.
Lots of spoilers:
The New Order is full of idiots: Kylo Ren isn't so much scary as petulant, his comedy general is next to worthless, Captain Phasma proved to be absolutely worthless (again), and the new/dead emperor didn't seem like much of a manager prior to getting cut in half. Combined they've built a "Planet Killer" that should have the obvious limitation that it can only hit whatever target comes around while the planet orbits its sun (and they forgot to guard the rear door) and now a whole bunch of super-duper Star Destroyers that explode at the drop of a hat. Wow, that was one poorly run fleet. Why not hyperdrive a couple ships ahead of the rebels and cut off their escape? How did one empty rebel cruiser manage to wipe out the whole fleet?
But I did like the way they managed to balance 3 threads (compared to the usual 1 or 2). "Rose' was likable even if her name doesn't sound very "Star-Warsy" and her final crash speech was crammed full of saccharine-sweetness. In fact, much of the humor like the opening "phone call put on hold" and "reaching out and touching the Force" seemed more like a Star Wars parody than real Star Wars. I'll admit I laughed, but in the long run I feel a bit of over-serious dialogue is better than the franchise not taking their own story seriously. What will the YouTube folks have to mock now?
The final twist that Kylo and Jedi Woman aren't brother & sister plus the fact that Luke is dead and Leia's funeral will likely kick off Episode 9 means that the final Skywalker is truly evil and there is none of the family left to redeem him. After 8 episodes charting the rise and fall of the family it will be left to an outsider to save the universe. Not what I was expecting and they seemed to have the opportunity to keep Luke alive at the end to help redeem the 3rd generation of Skywalkers. He had his own issues to work through, but you can now say that the whole family must just be a bad bunch.
Maybe re-watching it in future years will improve my opinion. It was entertaining and beautifully shot, but unless Episode 9 is more satisfying I can't see it being re-watched as much as the original trilogy.

I've resisted getting SW POPs...until now. There's just too way many of them, too many variants of the characters, and so many of them are exclusives, but I couldn't pass on this one...and ironically, she's an exclusive - in this case, Walmart.
She looks fantastic. Best Princess Leia they've done so far.
I do like how the SW ones have attached bases to keep them from teetering, because this series of POPs are bobbleheads, which ordinarily I don't like.

I'm not going to go nuts over these...there's just too many.

Ever since The Last Jedi was released, I've really been missing Carrie Fisher all over again, and "Princess Leia's Theme"...which is already the most gorgeous piece of music John Williams has written for SW...perhaps ever written by him, makes me even more teary-eyed when I hear it nowadays.
So I thought I would share a couple video performances of it.
First is a music video of the original soundtrack recording featuring movie clips...
and even better, John Williams conducting an orchestra to it...
Simply gorgeous. Like our beloved Princess herself.

Ok. I said I wasn't gonna nuts over SW POPS, but I couldn't resist these two new Movie Moments dioramas...
...from Walgreens...
(...and I didn't already have a Luke and a Vader)
...and from Walmart...
(...and you know how I love Threepio)
Walmart also has Luke and Leia in the trash compactor, Han and Greedo in the cantina, and Vader and Kenobi dueling on the Death Star.

It really is something how detailed toys can be these days. Expensive, but amazing
Some of the Kenner/Hasbro 12" figure/"doll" offerings were decently made, like Luke and Han in Hoth gear, Jango Fett, and some of the Ep3 characters. But nothing quite like the stuff that's been coming out for the past several years.
