| I'd love a Boba Fett movie, as long as now they ignore all that clone junk.

The Books are officially non-canon at this point, as they've repeatedly stated these will be all new adventures taken in new directions. Heck, the books have been non-canon for over a decade, since Lucas threw out the pre-existing backstory in favor of Episode I. |

| Canon or not, they would make great movies. They could tweak details here and there to make it fit into current continuity. |

| I just read that Stuart Freeborn has passed away. He was the make up artist who did Chewbacca and Yoda, among others. He was 98

Heck, the books have been non-canon for over a decade, since Lucas threw out the pre-existing backstory in favor of Episode I. The Post-Jedi books were still considered canon. At this point, they still could be,since the new trilogy is rumored to start 40 years after Jedi. They could still both exist, but until there is a script, it is hard to know yet. I doubt they could ever adapt a book, but they should be able to use characters from them, like Jaina Solo. |

| Eh. It depends on how greedy the authors are. No matter what kind of contract they had with Lucasarts, it's probably better for Disney and Lucasfilm to just avoid anything and everything contained in the EU.
After George's pay out, it'd be awfully tempting for a glorified fan fic writer (And no, I'm not knocking the authors of the books but let's be honest here - they're paid to write Fan Fiction) to make a grab at a similar payout over use of a character/characters they created.
They'd get nowhere, but it's legal fees and I doubt Disney and Lucasarts wants to bother. |

| With the characters being used in so many works already, I would think contracts would already have been set up to handle their use in movies as well as other author's books, comics, TV Shows or even an action figure.

| Finished the Hand of Thrawn duology this past week. I think its actually a good stopping point in general. Luke gets engaged to Mara, the Imperial Remnant signs the peace treat with the New Republic... its all good.

| Having rewatched all six movies recently, I'm struck by oddities in the script for EpI. Everyone gets so hung up on the awfulness of Jar Jar, that I think they miss the huge casting error in Anakin. I'm sure others must have noticed that his lines seem to have been written for a 16-year-old. The lines coming out a 9-year-old's mouth are just wrong and awkward. |

| There's a reason the kid only had one acting role. (Though amusingly, I heard he went on to become a Goth in High School. Life imitates Art.)
Personally speaking, Anakin should have fulfilled the Han Solo role in the Prequels. We should have met him when he was an adult, not a young child. Anakin's fall should have mirrored Luke's rise - where Luke overcame his anger and rejected the Dark Side, Anakin embraced it. |

| Today, for the first time in my 31 years on Earth, I own a Rancor monster. It will be part of a larger Jabba's Palace display. Pics to come when all the other figures arrive. BTW, it's the ginormous 2008 Rancor monster from the Legacy Collection. |

| Here are some initial pics from my Jabba display. This is the 3D diorama released in 1998, populated with various figures. I am still waiting on: Jabba w/ throne and Oola (2010), Max Rebo Band, and Jabba's Dancers 3 pack. |

| Finally, we have the Rancor monster. I also have a spot on that same shelf, under Jabba's throne room, to set up the Sarlacc pit, which I have on the way. The target exclusive one that actually has the Sarlacc included. Should be here this week. |

| Bampin. Cruisin my way through the post-ROTJ novels. Finished Allegiance and Choices of One, both by Timothy Zahn, and now working on The New Rebellion. Patiently waiting on my shelf are the rest of the post-ROTJ series from the 90s, the New Jedi Order, Legacy of the Force, and books 1-7 of Fate of the Jedi. My goal is to read them all by the time Episode 7 comes out.
Had to sell the Jabba display and Rancor for some quick cash, but I will update soon with my GIANT MILLENNIUM FALCON and Tattooine display. Also picked up a custom Darth Caedus, who is a major character that I won't spoil his identity. |
