Capt Jack on Knight Rider

Not sure if this is a repeat, but while waiting for another program to start I was channel hopping and I heard someone say, "Capt jack harkness",

I stopped on the channel and tried to figure out what it was. I then figured out it was Knight Rider, not a show I watch. Kinda funny. It is a halloween episode and one of the characters dressed up as him.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! I only caught the last few minutes, but I thought that dude was dressed like Jack!

I don't watch this new Knight Rider so I don't know who the character is but yes he was dressed as Capt.Jack. They mention it at the beginning during the opening teaser/prologue . They mention Doctor Who but not Torchwood.

It does make me a little sad that this show has a prime time slot on a major network, while Who is relegated to basic cable in this country. I wonder why they went with the Jack reference over the actual Doctor - I guess they couldn't have thrown in the bi-sexual gag.

Meanwhile over on Fox on Sunday there was a reference to Doctor Who on American Dad (Episode title Escape From Pearl Bailey).

What was the reference? I remember the one with the 4th Doctor from the Simpsons, and the hyperspace reference in Family Guy's Blue Harvest episode.

Actually though, to be precise it is a 45 year old british tv show

Doctor who is referenced in Big Bang Theory and in some episode a Dalek can be seen on the shelves behind their couch.

the tnt series leverage makes many dr who references.
ONE is they were stealing a statue of david, but there were 2 of them. They kept calling them the 2 davids and they were to steal them from the blackpool museum.

actually tom was in two sipsons eps. he was at a sci fi convention in one and was sealed in a plastic bag in mint conditon by the collector who is the comic book guy in the halloween ep in which he kidnaps lucy lawless and bart and lisa have super powers.
