Life on Mars (USA) Empty
PostSubject: Life on Mars (USA)   Life on Mars (USA) EmptyWed Oct 08, 2008 5:11 pm

This Thursday (10/9/08) is the premier of Life on Mars on ABC.
Thanks to recommends of CJSchmidt and rsnation I finally watched both seasons of the BBC version and am hoping this one doesn't get to screwed up by ABC. From the clips I watched it looks like they just punched up the script for the first ep a little. Harvey Keitel has been tapped to be the Gene-Geney and Michael Imperiolo of the Sopranos in the role of Ray. Check out the clips at link below...

I really hope this doesn't suck.

Suck or not, I hope it results in an R1 DVD release of the original.

Glad you liked the show!

BBCA has been really pushing the original shows for this season's remakes. I wouldn't be surprised if we see them try to cash in on some DVD releases soon.

I haven't had a chance to watch the version that aired last night, but the initial pilot was horrible. It will be really interesting to watch the 3 different 1st episodes back-to-back and see what changes were made.

I'll check it out this weekend.

agreed. that pilot was beyond words for horrible. I plan on trying to catch the new on tonight, hope it lives up in some small way to the real LOM. I got some many people into LOM here in the states and I'd hate to see others turned off by the US version

A guy at BBCAmerica told me they don't have R1 DVD rights, ABC does, apparently.
