| Eventually some of us we'll fall into the old habit of discussing season 4 eps when they start airing on BBC. Somehow, some of us manage to see them But for now with various posts popping up with news of the production I thought we should try to have one place to read/post what's going on. Getting started with this... New guest star and episode titles announced. - Quote :
- Georgia Moffett, the daughter of Fifth Doctor Peter Davison, will guest star in Series Four of Doctor Who.
Georgia originally auditioned for a role in Gareth Roberts' Agatha Christie episode, but so impressed the production team that she was offered a much more exciting part in another episode, currently filming in Cardiff.
Additionally, two episode titles have been announced. Episode one, written by Russell T Davies, will be called Partners In Crime, whilst episode four has been named The Sontaran Strategem. It's the first of a two-parter by Helen Raynor. |

| Spoiler warning... Just saw the series 4 trailer. Wonder who the blonde is holding the Doc's sonic or her sonic screwdriver?
The Agatha Christie episode is the one I am looking most forward to...wonder if the episode will take place during the time the writer actually went missing for a while. |

| Looks like the sonic screwdriver lady is NOT the Rani. Credit goes to "thedoctor" for this one, which originally posted it in the episode discussion with just a link, but I thought I'd throw it in here since we were discussing it. It comes from the Sun, who usually print whatever they want in regards to Who, so take it with a grain of salt. Especially the last part in bold. Street Sarah to fight Time Lord - Quote :
- CORRIE legend Sarah Lancashire is to star in Doctor Who — and will prove to be one of the time lord’s most evil enemies.
Sarah, 43, kicks off the fourth series this spring playing mysterious villainess Miss Foster — armed with her own sonic screwdriver. The actress, formerly airhead barmaid Raquel Watts in Coronation Street, revealed she loved filming the hour-long show. She said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be in Doctor Who. It’s a brilliant episode.”
A BBC insider added: “This series is going to be the best yet. Sarah’s a cracking actress.” The series will see comic Catherine Tate, 39, back as the Doctor’s dopey sidekick Donna Noble. It opens with the pair tackling aliens in London.
They will also travel through time for an encounter with murder mystery writer Agatha Christie and take a trip to the ancient Roman city of Pompeii. Other guest stars in the new series include Felicity Kendal, Fenella Woolgar, Tim McInnerny, Peter Capaldi, Phil Davis and Tracey Childs.
And two of the Doctor’s former assistants will return. Billie Piper and Elisabeth Sladen will recreate their roles as Rose Tyler and Sara Jane Smith. John Barrowman, who plays Captain Jack Harkness in spin-off series Torchwood, will also be back. The series is the last for star David Tennant, 36, but he will play the Doctor in four special episodes in 2009 and in a movie version. |

| Yeah Gregtdj the Sun's crystal ball method of reporting can make any Doctor Who fan shudder. They have been saying since series two that Tennant will leave...series 3 Tennant will leave...well they will get it eventually right. Bat Boy will be Doctor 11.
The movie rumour could be true... |

| That's the first time I've seen the 4 is officially David's last series. I thought the hiatus was so that he could work on other projects and not get burnt out. Sad. |

| I'd actually like to see Romana's return. In the 8th Doctor's movie she was over the time lords (chancellor?president?) so she would have been involved in the Time War's final decisive act made by the Doctor and maybe had a hand in the Master's resurrection. It would certainly be an interesting storyline for her and the Doctor to face each other and discuss these points. Of course it's Time War related so it will probably never come to pass, but still... |

| The woman with the sonic device... well she does not have to be a timelady. Jack had a sonic blaster and it was manufactured at a place the Doctor visited and burned down. From the clip she looks like a meanie. Wish it could be Rommana but I don't think so... |

| hey just read DWM... Troughton's son will be in an episode. He played king Peladon in oh 1973-74? Love that the series has a great respect to it's past. Just hope they will not bring back Alpha Centuri...just kidding. |

| The 9th epsiode will feature the Autons taking over a high end retailer in Hammond Indiana. Location shooting begins next week. They are looking for people that can play terrified shoppers. * sort of a local in-joke for Greeny |

| Love and Hammond? You must be one of those romantics that thinks Donna should snog the Doctor If it has to do with a store and it is Doctor Who I was thinking maybe "The Christmas Invasion" Too Tacky? Not sure if anyone would buy that as a suitable one. What do you think? |

Yep! Most likely the Rani, if you look closely when the woman holds the pill: she has red fingernails - at the end of series 3 someone with red fingernails picked up the Masters' ring! Coincidence? |
