| And the final sequel... The Mummy's Curse (1944) Which if you follow the sequels timelines, actually takes place in the mid 1990s |

| I was disappointed by Night of the Comet. It had so much potential. |

Awww. I loved it. Good campy B fun.. "Daddy would have gotten us Uzi's" "C'mon Hector, the MAC-10 submachine gun was practically designed for housewives. " |

| I used to seek out films like Cannibal Holocaust almost all the time. I would watch nothing but horror films, the gorier, the better. But it got to the point where they really started to get to me, and I became seriously depressed. For several years, horror was all I would collect. I had hundreds of movies, and almost as many horror toys.
Now I have a more balanced intake of films, books, etc. But I am afraid that if I watch too much horror now, I will become obsessed again. Every year during October, I hear that siren's call again to start watching nothing but horror. |

| Dead & Breakfast is way better than The Possession because it's a musical. |

| I made the realization a few years back that I really was more of a horror fan than sci fi, considering the amount of films and tv series i liked and had in my collection vs that and other genres.
I do tend to break them out only around Halloween time. Good for the season, and the marathons they have on the cable channels are really lacking. Too much of the franchises and repeats for filler, and not enough of the older stuff.

| Spirits of the Dead was nifty. It's 3 eerie yet decadent Poe adaptations by Vadim, Malle, & Fellini. |

...got my copy of the DVD signed by Margot Kidder last year! I almost met her two years ago... she was at a show here in SA. I went by her table at one point but she wasn't there. |

What did you think of Excision? How was Abe Lincoln? Figured I would wait for video on that one. |

Excision is all kinds of effed up and I'm not so sure I picked up on everything it was trying to say, but I loved it. I'm not really familiar with Annalynn McCord, but I'm definitely a fan now. Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is kind of ridiculous. It's a fun movie, but it's built on that Hollywood notion that action sequences don't have to make sense as long as they're big and loud and entertaining. I think 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter With Superhuman Abilities' would have been a more accurate title. |

And thus ends the alphabet themed portion of my 31 Days of Horror movie viewing. I think I'm just gonna watch some favorites for the remaining 5 days. Maybe next year I can come up with a really good theme. And maybe my DVD collection will be a bit more organized so that I might actually be able to find the DVDs I want to watch. |
