| The coat on my fourth Doctor is missing one of the buttons on the back. After checking the box and surrounding areas, I decided to e-mail Big Chief about getting a replacement button.
Also Jon, from looking at your pictures, it seems like my Tom has a more narrow head than yours. Could just be an optical illusion, but I'm not sure. |

Also Jon, from looking at your pictures, it seems like my Tom has a more narrow head than yours. Could just be an optical illusion, but I'm not sure. After reading this, I checked the back of mine. Sure enough, the left button was missing. Luckily, I did manage to find it on the carpet near the box. I glued it with some fabric tac glue. So thanks for posting that or I may have sucked it up in the vacuum and never noticed. |

| I'm not sure if mine had that button in the first place. I've looked all over, haven't vacuumed, and the color would stand out against my tan carpet. Since I contacted Big Chief for a replacement, I'd feel terrible if I lost the button. |

| Had a chance to mess around with my BCS Doctor Who figures today some more. Still loving them.
BUT, the stands were driving me a little batty. I think the plastic neck of them is a little too tall. By the time you get them to a height where the figure will actually be resting its crotch on them, they don't have enough tension. BUT, I swapped the wire arms out for some Hot Toys stands I have. The BCS wire arms still work really well in the Hot Toys stands, but the wire arms from the Hot Toys stand work MUCH better than the BCS ones as far as staying in place! Very handy.
One sad thing, which I was worried about the moment I saw the mirrored surface of the stands. They scratch VERY easily. The only thing that it's had to endure is the feet of my figures scrabbling around them as I tried to make the wire arms hold them up! And they still already have scratches. They are faint and you don't notice them readily, yet, though. Just something to be mindful of. |

| Update about expansion packs! - Quote :
- We continue to receive emails regularly eager for an update on the costume and accessory packs that we proposed some time back.
In short as of now the packs are on hold for a number of reasons. The main one being the viability for us to produce, given the minimum quantity we would need to order from our vendors.
The simple fact is that whilst Doctor Who is an amazing brand, with 50 years of heritage, it is sadly not as global a property as we need it to be in sufficient numbers.
Whilst the focus for every Doctor Who licensee seems to be on what is current, i.e New Who, the classic series are just too niche outside of the UK.
Simply put we would need to be selling at least 2000 pieces per character to consider the packs. As it is we are not reaching that level of sales just yet. Before anyone suggests it, selling via third party retailers is not going to help. The high margins required by distributors and retailers, further reduces the revenue generated for the company.
The most expensive components of a 1:6 figure is the clothing and the head. Accessories are surprisingly not as high. As these are the very parts that would be included in the packs, we would need to order a high quantity of packs. Considering our edition sizes the question is how many who have purchased a figure would want to redress their figure?
We want to be clear we still very much want to see the packs become a reality. We just need to balance sales of the full figures against the possible numbers of packs we could sell and of course the quantity we would need to order.
Time will tell.
Thanks BCS |

| The new head definitely makes Amy a thousand times better. It's amazing how much of a difference the sculpted hair and a few subtle paint changes make. |

| Agreed! Oh, and on Facebook someone wondered if Amy's poor sales (seemingly) would mean no more companions. And BCS said they consider Sarah Jane a "must"!
So excited! |

Oh, by the way... it seems like the Weeping Angel WILL be sold in the US through Diamond! One shop has it up for $190. We'll see if WhoNA get some in. Not sure what the MSRP is or anything yet. |

| I think the chin looks a bit large, but otherwise a very good likeness. I hope the final production model doesn't have that wretched 5 O'Clock shadow that Tom got. (I actually took a risk and repainted mine!)
Hmmm... tempted to get this now, but these are so darned expensive I may have to pass.
I really like that they've included his cloak. I wonder if they'll give him a striped scarf and fuzzy hat as well? In any case, I can't wait to see more pix!
