I can vouch for that! And it's great that this awesome series and this awesome Doctor will be immortalised in plastic like like this. I haven't bought any of the previous Big Chief figures but I'm tempted to splash the cash on this one. The only thing making me reconsider is that if I buy one of them then I'll want the rest and I doubt I can afford to.

He does look great. I think the hair is a bit too exaggerated, but great none the less.
I am excited that Hartnell should be shipping out to me this coming week.

Such a great figure! I really can't get over how great it turned out. I had to spend a great deal of time retying the tie after it accidentally came out (which is my fault), but other than that he's been a total pleasure to pose and mess with. His body is very solid and tight. My glasses were broken in package, but I now BCS will take care of me. I really just don't know what look I want to go for with him. I like his more stripped down look, but with some fussing the scarf/hat look great too. Decisions, decisions! Bravo BCS! Here's to many more Doctors to come!

Look at his mouth area, its as if he has been to the dentist and has cotton wool / gauze suffered in his cheeks.

zygonfan, your pics seem to nail how the scarf should be used. Any pointers for those of us who can't get the scarf to behave?

Thanks guys.. I just kept twisting it and twisting till I could nestle it just under the hair and kept pushing it down. same with the flaps at the end. I scrunched them slightly and gave them a bit of a bend so they hung more naturally.

I started twisting it at first, but it didn't quite look "real" to me, so I then went back and looked at pics of him in the scarf to try to manipulate the scarf to look more like it did in real life. Still haven't gotten it to where I want it, but to be honest I'm not totally sure if I'll put him in that any way. But I do like the look of it this way, at least in close up.

Inspired by Zygonfan's lovely pics, I did try twisting it a bit more, and I like the results. I still struggle a bit with the "tail" in the front as it hangs pretty long and flat, but totally flat looks odd. So I experimented with scrunching it a bit here and there.
One thing - anyone feel like his cane is a wee bit short? I feel like you can't really get natural poses with it because it doesn't reach down quite far enough.

I've got Tom Baker on the way after watching a very good review on YouTube about the 4th Doctor and his accesories. Also preordered his smiling head variant.

Yeah, it's a shame. Just another inch or so would have been perfect. It's not the end of the world, but it does make it not quite as fun an accessory as it could be.

I got the Tom Baker doll delivered today at 10am. This is mind blowing as it just shipped yesterday from the UK. I ordered it Saturday. I find the joints troublesome as they seem loose. I can't stand him up by himself without the stand. The scarf is a bit of a trick. I prefer the hat on his head and the likeness is good, though looking forward to recieving the smiling head next month. Still though. How does an item ship yesterday from the UK and arrive on the east coast at my front door at 10am. That's outstanding service.

So question. Did FedEx bill anyone else here for international tax on shipping? I couldn't believe I got a bill in the mail from Fedex over 15.00. They shipped Tom Baker to the wrong address, wrong apartment complex, had someone else sign for it at the wrong address and luckily that person at that address was nice to come to my place and give it to me. FedEx never even delivered. Should I tell one of them to remove that bill?
