rumours about Capaldi

I think this spun off from the news that he'd only signed on for a year, which is actually standard for BBC shows. The fact that Capaldi won't be filming Series 2 of The Musketeers makes me think he'll be sticking around a bit longer.

This rumor hit the mill the minute Capaldi was announced. I put zero stock into it...mainly because I remember when they were asking the same thing about Matt.

There is another rumor that has something to do with why the audience didn't actually see the regeneration from matt to peter, and why there was a lightning sound just begore Capaldi arrived....

What rumour is that ?

Capaldi is not the Doctor. Like i said, just a rumor. However, if this turns out to be true, I for one would find it to be the most disrespectful thing done to the audience in the history of the show.

I highly doubt that rumour is true, and I really hope it isn't.

I hope not. Thunder is just what it sounds like when Time Lords sneeze and regenerate at the same time.

Trust me, I hope more than anyone that this is wrong/not true. It wouldn't be right to fool the audience like that, I wouldn't care who the writer/showrunner is.

But...we did. The fact it's different from the other regenerations really doesn't mean much, since prior to Eccelston the effect was different each time and even then, we're talking about a brand new batch of 13 lives. That's bound to be different.

I hope you are right Rust. I also hope Jared is right about the thunder noise (that made me laugh). If not, and those two things were done for a different purpose, I really will not be happy with the direction of the show, and most of you know how thrilled I have been in the last couple of years.

I just don't get where so fans come up with these theories. Like Rust said, we did see him change. The "reset" to get Matt out of the old Doctor make-up was the only new thing, and he had his big spouting flame scene earlier. It is probably coming from a fan who wants to see Matt come back.

The idea of Capaldi not actually being the Doctor reminds me of a photo I saw on Facebook...



It's just silly fan speculation, like when people thought Rory might be the Master or that Tennant was gonna regenerate into John Simm, but I thought I'd share anyway.

These really do reek of Fangirl theories that want to see a "Sexy" Doctor come back.
