| I really enjoyed it for the most part. I think Clara is going to be an awesome companion if Moffat doesn't pull the Amy Pond treatment with her. Madame Vastra & Jenny were awesome. My only complaints:
*Are we REALLY gonna do this South Park "Kenny" companion kill & resurrect business again?!?
*Enough with the kissing of the foreheads and such!! This Doctor has kissed more humans than all the other Doctors combined.
*Moffat panders to Tumblr yet again with a Sherlock crossover type moment. |

| Love the new opening & the console redesign (takes me back ...). Love the Doctor's new duds. Thought Clara was fresh. The spiral stair was pretty neat I thought. Interesting hearing Gandalf's voice. Richard E. Grant was suitably menacing. Vashta & Jenny, a little better than so-so. Strax had a few moments (or was momentarily worthwhile, take it either way). The story was fairly decent, although I did not like the scary face snowflakes.
As for what's coming up, I actually like the multi-layer story arcs. Keep me on my toes. I could be irritated with the whole "mystery woman" thing though, but it depends on how the line is pursued come April. |

I noticed that. I could picture the Wholockians going into cardiac arrest with excitement as I was watching it. |

| catch the name of the tavern that clara worked in? Take a look... red herring I am sure loved this episode- but if I were a new viewer I would be totally lost. I love straxx- glad they brought potato head back. Anyway...my stupid theory- what if clara is like scarroth in city of death- she is fragmented in time. or...she is a clone...or I just had way too much sugar over the holidaysssssssssssssss. |

| Doctor Who (the television program) premiered on November 23, 1963. Funny they didn't just say it was 1863 because then it'd be exactly 100 years, but I guess the year wasn't that important. I'm assuming it's just an easter egg. |

| Greenk9 i was thinking the same thing last night about scarroth. I went and watched the episode. scarroths splintering was a result of his ship going boom and creating life on earth. Thank you scarroth.
My theory that will change 1000 times is she is a timelord or time agent. We have not seen the Roni could be her. Im looking forward plot twists an turns my stomach is hurting already.
Im hoping river and clara/oswin have a cat fight. meow!

| I will, obviously, tune into the Clara Show...co starring some guy called The Doctor!!
Really wish the companion would play a secondary role to The Doctor! I am sure that there are, endless, storyline possibilities out there, without having to give us a companion heavy story arc - again!! |

| Well, since I find Clara far more attractive than Amy, and far more interesting, I will tune in as well. But I have a feeling the mystery will be solved in the first episode and we can move on. I don't see this as being a story arc, just a cliffhanger. (I hope anyway) |

| First episode from the Smith era that I actually wanted to watch more than once (took long enough). Good humour especially with Strax (who just cracked me up with his dialogue). And of course Clara has to be the one to say the TARDIS was smaller outside rather than the normal reaction. I think the best thing about the episode was that there was no Amy - she really dragged the show down with her overexposure and emphasis on her character rather than the Doctor and the stories themselves. Clara is so far a great companion in both incarnations. Hopefully Clara's 'deaths' won't be another stupid constant (Rory's continually being killed was beyond a joke). Also, why why why does there always have to be a snog between the Doctor and each companion (even Rory recently) - it's another clique they need to stop with.
Lastly, the revamped titles and TARDIS are massive improvement from the last two years. The theme now has a sense of old and new (and less thumping) along with Smith's face making a subtle appearance while the TARDIS is more tidy and streamlined (really disliked the steampunk look big time) though the triple turning columns above reminds me of Beetlejuice / carousel and could have done without.
Also, still haven't watched last year's Christmas special. |

| Didn't get a chance to re-watch the credits, but I did not see a credit for Haisman and Lincoln being the creators of the Great Intelligence. These two gentlemen have been at odds with the BBC for uncredited (and no royalties) use of Lethbridge-Stewart and the Yeti before. When I see Terry Nation and Robert Holmes continuing to get credit for their creations I'm surprised not to see Haisman and Lincoln in the credits.
Perhaps they're now gone and the estates have come to an agreement?
Wouldn't mind a few other "easter eggs" this year for long time fans. |

| I just read something on the Doctor Who wiki that mentioned Neil Gaiman wanted his villain "House" in The Doctor's Wife to be the Great Intelligence, but that part was cut from the script. |
