| Haven't seemed to be too Dalek-y lately. I mean, take for example "Daleks in Manhatten/Evolution of the Daleks" or "Victory of the Daleks" or even "The Stolen Earth/Journy's End" I enjoyed them all, but they didn't seem to be particularly Dalek-y. Even the newest one, Asylum of the Daleks, was just a bunch of scared daleks asking for the doctors help so they could blow up insane Daleks. I did lke the episode, but again, didn't seem too Dalek-y.
Now, episodes like "Dalek" and "Doomsday" I thought actually seemed reminiscent of how the daleks were back in the classic series.
I want to see Daleks chasing the doctor through space, I want to see them in their city planning some scheme to destroy the enemies outside the city, I want to see them arriving in a spaceship and unexpectedly meeting the Doctor there, and taking control of the planet's inhabits, I want to see them planning to release an army from cold storage, while the dalek scientists create a descrutive virus.
I want to see the daleks become Dalek-y again. |

| I agree! This was one of the reasons I didn't like "Asylum of the Daleks." The story was built upon too many premises that I just didn't buy, one of them being the existence of a Dalek Parliament, which didn't necessarily outright contradict anything we know about the Daleks, but seemed highly, highly, unlikely. Can you imagine a Dalek General Election; what would that look like? |

| Yup, lol.
and, one of the points I forgot to add is, I want to see them actually exterminating people again. Heck, I'd settle for a dalek civil war if it meant the daleks exterminating SOMETHING. |

| The problem is that they've overused the Daleks so much that even in Dalek stories they're too boring to use now. They need to leave it YEARS without a Dalek story and then bring them back with a fully fledged Dalek invasion OF MORTAL DOOM! ....or something. |

| I would be fine if they did that at the end of the season, but yeah, a fully fledged dalek invasion with lots of exterminations would be good. |

| Another thing: can we see the Daleks take on a planet that ISN'T Earth? In the entire New Series, they seem to focus on our planet. Why? In the universe of Doctor Who, there are tons of populated planets, so focusing on just one seems a little odd for a race that wants to kill all non-Dalek life.
Anyway, moving them to another planet gives them a little more leeway to exterminate away... |

| I found the PC Adventure game with the Daleks to be better than Asylum. It had the 'New' style Daleks, and was pretty good about killing people and taking over. Unfortunately, Moff went the opposite direction... |

| Moffat has an aversion to killing characters:
Empty Child/The Doctor Dances: No one dies, they just mutate temporarily The Girl in the Fireplace: The Clockwork Men don't get to kill anyone Blink: The Angels don't kill, they send you back in time Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead: People get killed, but come back as "data ghosts" Eleventh Hour: Unclear if Prisoner Zero killed a lot of people at the hospital The Beast Below: The Beast only eats adults, which it doesn't really get Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone: Two deaths, lots of people getting erased from history The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang: No one dies A Christmas Carol: Abigail will die of the uncurable disease she has The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon: The Silence kill one person A Good Man Goes To War: Dorium gets beheaded, some characters sustain fatal injuries, but Dorium's not really dead Let's Kill Hitler: A Nazi is killed by the Tesselecta The Wedding of River Song: The chess player guy gets killed, a number of people working with Amy get killed, as do some of the Silence, and Kovarian is killed (suggested that as this is an alternate universe, these deaths might not have actually happened). Dorium is revealed to not really be dead. The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe: No one is killed, though the fate of the guy who was in the plane with the husband is ambiguous... Asylum of the Daleks: Presumably, people are killed in a sense to be made into Dalek slaves (aka DALEK ZOMBIES!) |

| That was pretty cool, but i ended up watching the Palitoy talikng Dalek ad 3 times! I've still got that 'bug eyed' Batmobile, lol. The thing i love about the old school talking Daleks is that they would alter their speech pattern to the speed of the concealed record, giving a realistic effect! |
