Doctor Who Maxi-Bust Release Schedule - Big update 12/3

Thanks for those pictures! Must say the busts are stunning!! My 4th Doc should arrive very soon and after seeing those it cannot show up soon enough! Simply cannot wait to get it!

I also went ahead and ordered myself a Weeping Angel.

No problem Lior! They really have turned out great. I am definitely getting the Weeping Angel at some point. Not sure I'll do companions... but I'm getting the Doctors and select monsters.

Now onto 10! I honestly didn't take as many of him because there are quite a few pics floating around for him. But here are a couple. I really think he turned out great. I didn't think his skin tone was too dark as he looked in some pics. In real life he looks very good. Though I suppose he has a darker complexion compared to the 11 bust.

These are definately shaping up to be the centerpieces of my entire Who collection.

I can't say enough about how much I love these. I'm sure you guys agree that these busts are just so impressive and beautiful.

...and we still have McGann, Hartnell, and Davison scheduled for this upcoming year!

I know! I was just thinking about that. By mid-point next year we'll have all the Doctors except Troughton, C. Baker, McCoy, and Eccelston! It'd be amazing if we could finish out the 50th year with all the Doctors, or at least MOST of them. People on GB seem to be really harsh on these. I just don't really understand it, to be honest. I just think they turned out magnificent, and I'm not even a fan of statues, usually.

Just received shipping notification for the Weeping Angels Maxi Bust. They should arrive next week.

I updated the list at the start of the thread a bit. I just added in the variants we know about so far.

Anyone going to NYCC? They are supposed to have three variant statues for sale there:
Sound of Drums 10th Doctor
Victory of the Daleks 11th Doctor (with the Jammie Dodger)
Cyber Leader

If I didn't already have a 10th bust I'd probably go for the Sound of Drums one as I like the look. The others I can live without. But I REALLY want the Cyber Scout variant. I'm trying to find out when and how that will be released. If WhoNA can somehow get a hold of that I'd buy it in an instant! I know they got some variants of the 11 bust when he first came out.

Excellent review, Jon. I couldn't agree more about this line.

To one of the points/questions made, as a proud owner of the Captain Jack Harkness bust, I can say that mine is just as beautiful as the others. I have no paint issues or other imperfections whatsoever. Same high level of quality as the Doctors.

SeaDevil - interesting about Jack! I've only seen a few bad pictures. I guess I haven't seen many of them. Hmmm... I was considering him because I consider him the lead of Torchwood rather than a companion. But I was turned off by the photo's I'd seen.

Maybe a particular run or two may have had issues. I don't know. I got mine here at WhoNA, so hopefully if you decide to get one, get it from here so maybe it'll look just as nice as mine. Hard to say about these kinds of things.

My standard release 10 arrived the other day and he's pretty cool. I took a quick comparison shot of the SoD and standard 10.



I noticed the standard release seems to be more "leaning forward" which gives it a somewhat different dynamics.
