| Putting this thread out there now so I don't have to worry about it during tonight's "Let's Kill Hitler" frenzy. So yes, discuss.

Google Images, just typed in "Doctor Who Astronaut" and it's on the first page. |

| I've got a little anticipation for this. It was originally going to be episode 4 and was switched just before broadcast (that's why a scene was in the first trailer) which means it won't be arc-heavy.
And it's written by Mark Gatiss (The Unquiet Dead, Idiot's Lantern, Victory of the Daleks). His plots have been hit & miss with me but he always has some really great dialogue.
Could be good! |

| Not extremely interesting looking, but might be good. Hopefully more Unquiet Dead then Victory of the Daleks though. |

| And Gatiss is also involved in Sherlock, with Moffat. Which shows they both are amazing writers! Or can be. |

| I've got high hopes for this episode. Well, mediocre hopes, anyway. I just want some comedy, some scares, some running down corridors, and a monster. No River Song, no babies, no unanswered questions. Just a nice, self-contained, perfectly average Doctor Who romp and I'll be happy. Something on par with "Curse of the Black Spot". |

| I'll admit I'm bad for spoilers but one thing I've learnt has made this episode 100x more exciting and creepier, I can't wait
P.S Yes, I know I haven't talked much lately, been busy |

| Excellent! Not my favourite but indeed a very good episode! And thank goodness it was a stand alone story, maybe you NuWho haters can have something to say nice things about now? Really cool! Liked the Peg Dolls but wish they had been in it more. |

Really cool! Liked the Peg Dolls but wish they had been in it more. Above average I thought! 7-8/10. Really do like a good stand alone story - - Spoiler:
even though it did tie in a bit @ the end with the lyrics to the nursery rhyme.
- Spoiler:
Really liked the bully landlord getting turned into a Peg Doll - very chilling
Scary - I'm not a NuWho hater....just not one of Moffat's biggest fans. |

Yeah but it was the same with 'Curse of the Black Spot,' what with Kovarian. And that was a good stand alone! - Quote :

I know, I was joking. |

| Loved it. Had a blast watching it.
Exactly what I was hoping for. Funny, scary, dramatic, interesting and some running through corridors away from the baddies. Good ol' Doctor Who.
Loved the "Sevens Keys to Doomsday" reference!
Man, I love it when I enjoy Doctor Who. What a great feeling. Thank you, Mark Gatiss! |

| Well, I gave up on this episode. 12 minutes left and I stopped watching. I found it unbearably boring...couldn't keep paying any attention to it at the end. But it's ok..because I'm SO excited for next week's episode, and all the ones after that. This however, I'd put next to 'Curse of the Black Spot' and 'Victory of the Daleks' as my very least favorite Matt Smith episodes. |

| While I enjoyed the episode, I had to laugh at this review -
"An episode based on the importance of family featuring 2 companions that don't give a crap that their newborn baby is missing as they run around laughing and joking."

He does. But then again I think the whole "missing baby" plotline is so lame that I'm glad it's been temporarily forgotten. I wouldn't complain if it was never mentioned again. |

| I gave it a firm OKAY.
I enjoyed watching it, right up until about 15 minutes to the end when I thought, "Really? This is all there is to it???"
Still enjoyed The Doctor's antics, as always, but the episode was very disappointing, but maybe my hopes were set too high.
The Landlord getting converted was a cool scene, but having seen the episode, I'm not even sure I want the Peg Doll figures now. |
