I will always have a fondness for Ark in Space as it is the story which introduced me to the Whoniverse some twenty-five odd years ago.
It surely must have been an influence on the production design for "New Earth" as well since the scene where all the human plague carriers are revealed is straight out of the scene in AIS except with more digital jiggery-pokery embellishment.

Ark in Space is indeed a classic, and the new option to watch it with improved special effects helped it out considerably. The new atmospheric shots of the station and the shuttle were terrific!

I keep hoping Revenge of the Cybermen will get the same treatment, since the story could really use the new effects boost, and because the effects would be similar to Ark's.
