Official 12th Doctor Opinion thread

Since I feel like looking even farther ahead....... Who do you think should follow Matt Smith as Doctor #12?

I still think Hugh Boneville should have a go. But, I did watch a talk show this evening and was reminded again of Craig Ferguson!

This man is a bloody raving loon! But he is so funny! I do remember him from Drew Carey. He makes some of the most poignant commentary about America, even though he is scottish.

He commented on how, when the election was going on, people had no right to complain about whoever won, if they didnt vote, it was very moving, and he was right!

I have to find the Youtube clip a friend sent me about it, but he would make great speeches Daleks or Cybermen, or Ice Warriors regarding humanity and our place in the Universe

I remember hearing rumors that Anthony Head was once in the running, and ever since I've wanted him to get the part. I think he'd be fantastic!

Well since #11 is supposedly signed on for 3+ years, I'm not even going to think on the next doctor. When it does come time, my only wish is that he is much older (e.g., over 40 please). Anthony would work for me but I hate it when the actor has already appeared on the show; it just messes things up.

tardis would be the police box in black and the daleks would melt just being intimidated by his stare. He would jump kick and karate chop the tardis controls rather than using a mallet. chuck norris would be his companion. sorry can't ever be serious- not my m.o.

I do like anthony head that you fellas mentioned... he could do eccentric.

Perfect! The Doctor already runs everywhere...now he just has to fly the TARDIS with the doors open while hanging out them on a rope in a hospital gown!! Throw in some side mounted machine guns and a few well choregraphed fights with the cybermen!

And yes that was a little tongue in cheek...but I'd certainly watch something like that, hopefully it'd be less disappointing than the current run on Heroes.

Other than that, I am back to Sean Pertwee, for obviously sentamental reasons.

Ronpur I was hoping for pertwee for 11 but hey you never know- was pretty neat to see troughton in midnight...would even be great if sean has even a cameo in the new show...wishfull thinking eh?

i vote nathan filion. i know hes not brittish but i think he would be great. and if that doesnt work he can be buck rogers in the newly launched from my mind return to television. i always thought hue grant would make an interesting one from his turn in the curse of fatal death. but how about hue lorrie from house. we could have a cane weilding vicodin junkey doctor for the first time. many story possibilities.
