DC Movie/TV Thread

I've said it before and will say it again... in the same way that Marvel's handling of Movie/TV is drawing people in, the various continuities of DC will confuse and alienate people.

I got the SDCC Penguin figure from Diamond Select. I am really impressed with this guy. Great sculpt and paint. Even though I gave up on Gotham halfway through the season, I did watch the finale and I'm going to give season 2 a go. We'll see. Either way, I liked the Penguin and figured I'd add him to my DCC DC TV figure shelf.

Picked up Captain Cold and Diggle today.

Captain Cold is really nice. The paint got messed up on top of his head from where the hood sat on top of it on mine, too. It's not a huge issue for me, though, as the coat looks weird if you try to put the hood down anyway. It would have been nice if they had made swappable non-coat arms so you could have two different look options for him, as his torso is compete and detailed under the coat. The gun is fantastically detailed, and I like the paint over all.




Diggle looks really great. I was pleased with this likeness after the rather blah likeness on Shirtless Ollie. I'm so happy we got a plainclothes Dig. If we only had the costumed Dig as an option that'd be kind of sad.

Is Felicity out yet?

Nope. Her and Arsenal didn't come out. I had them all pre-ordered and they were all offered at the same time... guess they were delayed for some reason.

I picked a Selina Kyle (Gotham) action figure up at a comic shop an hour away after asking the owner to get me one with better paint from the back. Then I found out DST will release the to TRU without the dioramas like they did for Universal Monsters. I don't plan on getting the other figures to complete the diorama & space is at a premium, so should I return it in favor of getting the TRU version? Or should I just keep the one I already bought?

You can display her base on its own, too. It stands fine by itself, and it also has this hook on the back that can hang somewhere (it's not very sturdy which was somewhat disappointing for me)

If it's not appealing, the TRU releases are half the price of the regular ones and that's a much better deal if you only want the figure.
