* which is a radio program unrelated to any missing episodes of "Doctor Who" but still enjoyable for those happy to see any "lost" William Hartnell material returned to the BBC. To make it perfectly clear to all, this is not a missing episode of "Doctor Who" and I regret the offense an earlier version of this post obviously created (sorry, I couldn't resist)
A rare 1965 radio interview with William Hartnell is now available on the BBC website...it's part of a recently recovered episode of "Desert Island Discs." Of course, as one might expect of a BBC Hartnell appearance, it's incomplete. Apparently 19 minutes of the show is still missing. Since "Doctor Who" is briefly mentioned right before it cuts out, the missing material likely includes Hartnell covering his time on the show. (Like we couldn't hear that coming.) Still worth a listen though.
