Clara!!!
She is like a classic companion, shes not all over the Doctor like a rash, she doesn't have a boyfriend like Mickey or Amy had. Shes gutsy and can stand up for herself and the Doctor. And her mystery I have enjoyed. I didn't enjoy Dr Who last year, getting quite fed up with Rory and Amy moaning, divorcing etc.

Its okay guys, always like hearing either topic. How bout this, if you decide to go back on a topic to re-open the debate, Make sure you make a title for it. Ian didnt know and thats fine, i knew what he was talking about anyway.

Easy fight for me... Clara far and away the victor.

* At the same time, had a boyfriend/ husband that she treated like dirt
* Very egocentric... it's all about her.
*Wasn't buying the Last Action Amy bit either... Moff was just trying to make his own Rose Guardian of the Earth

Clara

* zero romantic interest in the Doc
* casual companion going along for the fun
* competent on her own


In the looks department, it's way closer, but I still give the edge to Clara.

hmmm.....I'm liking the new debate! Interesting points guys, I hadn't really thought about how different the two really were. Going back on your point of Clara not being interested in the Doctor, it seems like its the other way around...I fell like there's something there between the two. I don't know why. I don't think Clara has the goo-goo-gaga-ness for the Doctor like Amy did but there's a slight feeling they give off whenever I watch the newest episodes.

Amy. So far Clara is just kind of there. Regardless of whether you liked Amy or not, she had a distinct & consistent personality.
