I just heard this as well. I knew he was extremely unwell lately and not expected to recover.
Rest well, Nick. The Brigadier is now forever in Peru.

I know he'd been unwell but it's still so sad. I'm glad he got an appearance on SJA at least.

This is another reason I get the full DVD releases. Through the commentaries and behind the scenes featurettes all the actors from Who will live FOREVER!
I am now going to go Hijack the top ten thread in the name of Nicholas!

Might have to put in Battlefield in memorial.

Terrific fellow, to use his own words. I'm really going to miss him, was hoping he'd maybe make an appearance in Who alongside Matt, Karen & Arthur after his work with Lis ...but we have a tremendous body of work that will live on.

What a legend in Doctor Who history, 46 years - Splendid Fellow. Reunited with Mr. Troughton and Pertwee forever, let the adventures begin.
Let us hope we get a figure of the Brig, its the least the man deserves.

Aww man. Its ironic as well that I was just about to get some Pertwee era episodes too. I hope he rests well. Too bad he didn't make it to the 50th anniversary, it would have been great to see him in action again. Rest in peace.
