User on another forum posting under my username

I am not, and do not know the Forbidden Moose on the Anorak Zone forum (I read it from time to time, but I am not a member) apparently this user has for some reason used my user name on this forum, gallifrey base and many others and my computers IP adress to post on the anorak zone. I am writing this message to notify all whona and gallifrey base users.

This poster who claims to be me, says his name is Steve, he is 47 and English. I am none of these things.

What is up with everyone trying to be someone that they're not? What do they gain from it?
