This and four other scripts were leaked online. Fan reviews of them seem to be highly positive on all counts. We are waiting eagerly to view the actual episode. Capaldi could be our favorite ever.

The BBC really needs to work on their security. A rough cut of Deep Breath has been leaked online. http://www.doctorwhonews.net/2014/07/deep-breath-leaks-online.html

Seeing as there is a spoiler warning on the top of this thread I assume that the people looking expect them?!?

I wouldn't imagine a month and a half before the story is actually meant to be broadcast, no.

It's always polite to use spoiler tags...even though it says "spoilers" in the thread title.

A little knowledge about something you will eventually want to know anyway honestly won't actually hurt you. My family and I are waiting for the broadcast. We actually want to wait and watch what Capaldi does with these scripts rather than reading the printed version. To us, this is more an ingredient, and we prefer the whole completed work of art. But, we're not afraid to learn things in life, and we're not upset if eager people who love Doctor Who so much they just have to talk end up telling us details. We are excited that they are excited. And, we do live in the real modern world of interconnected immediate news and social media, so we choose to be realistic that facts do and will come out, and that's absolutely fine for those who want to share and post and celebrate knowledge. Some people don't want to know, so you can choose to be polite, and not scream it in their face. But, others do want to know, and you can choose not to stifle their enthusiasm, or eagerness to share what they know. Courtesy should extend to both points of view. And, yes, the title here does indicate SPOILERS, so this is the proper place to post them, even if other places might be considered impolite. But, yes, spoiler tags are always a safe and polite way to proceed, just in case. But, if someone is honestly that scared to know details, simply avoid forums and news sites until the episodes have been watched and you should be safe.

I agree. I fall into somewhere in the middle; I don't like knowing big spoilers, but I don't mind hearing about little details. However, I'd prefer not to know anything, but that seems pretty impossible these days. I appreciate those who are reading spoilers are being cautious about not ruining the fun of Doctor Who for everyone else, so thank you.
However, I think that leaking scripts and episodes is actually illegal and should not be encouraged or participated in by reading/watching the leaked material, even if you want to know details ahead of transmission. I believe the BBC are mostly likely looking to sue the culprit(s) for leaking their private and confidential property. However, I could be wrong, but I would be careful if I were you guys...

I think you may be right, and it's really good you brought this up for people to consider. Be careful out there on the Internet! We'll be watching when it finally broadcasts ourselves. We want to see Capaldi's performance, in the completely finished product, over a working copy, or the printed page. But, that doesn't mean we won't buy all the Capaldi novels when that time comes, but that's a whole different matter!

Honestly, I don't like watching rough cuts. Having worked in the industry, I've seen several and they are for finding problems and fixing them. Who really wants to see an unfinished product?

I have watched , one I saw was 115 minutes, black and white. I will not spoil anything , but there is a cameo that really threw me....It was very difficult to watch an older Doctor do action scenes...I thought he would break a hip! They decided to hire an older actor, yet writers seem to apologize for it, and beg for fans to give the new actor a chance, very odd to me. I thought it was a joke this early episode , but it was the real thing, was not a rough cut. I think they made the wrong choice going with this actor, just feels wrong. I really feel the show needs another reboot....

Capaldi hating? I never imagined we'd ever see that.
The show is very lucky to have gotten a star of his stature involved! Capaldi is certainly the most established and celebrated actor who's ever been in the role. At least, since Troughton.
Give him a chance. You'll be won over.

I am sure you meant 75 minutes, or rather, 1 hour and 15 minutes.
