He was the perfect foil for the Third Doctor, expertly played by Roger Delgado - who, for my money, was the best Master ever.

Yeah, sometimes his involvement with the plot was rather dodgy or thin, or his scheme was not well defined, but he chewed up every scene he was in and Pertwee's chemistry with him was golden.

It was, and still is, a great pleasure for me to watch their battle of wits.
