| Great work Tomfan. I especially like the hair!
Do you ever use metallic paint when you paint hair on your figures? I find metallic paints can give the sculpted hair a little extra 'shimmer' and depth... though one must be careful not to end up with 'chrome head'.
I'm waiting a bit before I do a 'series 9' Capaldi. I want to incorporate the hoodie (maybe using one of the hoods provided with Hawthorne or The Master?). There's no way I'm going to be able to paint those tartan/window-pane trousers though!

| Cheers!
I did use a bit of dark silver in Capaldis hair, although hopefully not too much!
Capaldi is a lot like Pertwee, they both have hair that can vary in colour and shade, from one photo to the next, which makes painting it a nightmare a times! |

| Please tell me you are going to do him again but with his eyes open. Is the background a screen of the episode? Brilliant work as usual TF. |

| Did you modify the Davros figure beyond the obvious, and far superior, paint job? Any putty sculpting? If not, it at least demonstrates the base sculpt was quite amazing.
Funny thing, before I actually watched the episodes, I kinda' "smirked" at a close-up shot of the John Friedlander mask Michael Wisher was wearing. It just seemed so "exaggerated". But when I finally saw "Genesis of the Daleks" in late September 1982, I was hooked on the concept and Davros thus became my favorite DW villain. Thus I was intensely curious how the series revival would interpret him. Well, they seemed to blend the best elements of both designs. My only lament, the designers "shrank" his cranium, eliminating the "Mekon" homage present in both Wisher's and Molloy's headpieces.
I've wondered how Bleach's makeup like appear if the expanded cranium had been retained.
Sincerely,
Bill |

Sincerely,
Bill Cheers. The front of the head was changed, to try and make it more like Bleach's new mask, and the headbrace was modified with wire. The entire chariot was repainted, to try and make it look less plasticy, and make the silver parts appear more metalic looking. |
