Also, as long as I'm mentioning special Doctor Who-related podcasts, I thought I'd also mention "Movie Meltdown" ... it's a podcast from Louisville, Kentucky USA that looks at obscure movies and the geek culture surrounding them.
And again, because the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary is around the corner, I suggested they look at the 1996 TV Movie. So if you're interested you can find the episode here:

Please note these guys are NOT Doctor Who fans, and they had very little knowledge of the show in general. We are firmly in the "not-we" territory! But that's why I think it's interesting to hear their completely unbiased American view of the 1996 experiment. (That is, you can hear them when I actually shut up and let them speak!!)
The show opens with talk about my American Doctor Who memories, then around the 23:30 mark they get into the TV movie's back story, and then around 31:00 are the reactions to the movie itself.
thanks!
I also should note this was recorded a week before "Night of the Doctor" came out!
Also I'm painfully aware I wrongly answered a question about the Eye of Harmony. (I was trying to avoid a lengthy sidenote!)
Also also I accidentally insulted every character from classic Doctor Who. It was a mistake ... just like Asia I was in the Heat of the Moment!
