083 - The Android Invasion

Another great story! I really like the idea of it all. The androids are very creepy and I love the idea of a false copy of a world. It had a great atmosphere throughout. However, the Kraals are a bit crap. Also, UNIT feel very misused in this. Would have been nice if Harry and Benton had a bigger part to play since we won't see them again now.

Despite that though, I still really enjoyed this story. It was great to see Tom play the villain towards the end. I wish there had been more of that. This is definitely one of Tom's best serials.

Although the villains and 'the master plan' are actually really cliche and pretty crappy, the androids, the counterfeit surroundings and Tom & Lis make this a quality story and very enjoyable story.

The weakest serial of the season.  Fun to watch, but kinda "meh" overall.

This story, only the second non-Dalek story from Terry Nation, is a riff on Invasion of the Body Snatchers.  Unfortunately...we just had a body snatcher story a few serials ago. Still, this one is a bit creepier in spots...particularly the strong first episode and the replacement Sarah at the end of episode 2.  The Kraals looked cool, but were kinda crap nonetheless.  Oh...I should also mention that when Crayford discovers he can actually see out of his left eye after wearing an eyepatch for however long he has was just plain unbelievably stupid.  How could he not know he could see?  Had he never thought to lift up the friggin' eyepatch??  Seriously?  

This was directed by former producer and occasional director Barry Letts, and featured the last appearances of John Levene as Sgt. Benton and Ian Marter as Harry Sullivan.
