| That 60s Enterprise image is just so hot! Love the T- Shirt, but i'd like to have one of those 70s Corgi p/b cover artworks of the two main ships having a battle with phasers and torpedos blasting everywhere as the background. |

| Its the movie Enterprise from the original cast movies, so it is the "real" Enterprise in my book, not this thing with a brewery for an engine room that shows up now. |

I'll probably make some more later, maybe the TOS Enterprise humping the JJ one. Personally, I'm going to sit out on the next JJ one. Only when we get back to the original universe will I see any more. And there's a reason why Star Trek Online is set in the original universe, and not JJ's. |

| And notice how the 'real' Trek figures are so much nicer looking. I mean, come on, look at JJ Kirk there....that's not Mr. Pine, that's Tony Dow from the Leave it to Beaver. Guess Checkov there could pass a skinny Jerry Matters, too, I bet. |

| I ordered this one off Ebay from that most hated of hipster outlet stores, Hot Topic. I am a Scotty-sized Trekkie, so I have to hunt to find shirts in my size. |

I was an avid collector of the Playmates Trek figures in the 90s. Then when the JJ Trek figures came out, it was like Playmates took a step 10 years back from the quality they delivered at that time. Kind of like Star Wars figures of today compared with 1977. However, Art Asylum/Diamond Select has put out some amazing figures and ships in the last 10 years. |

Kind of like Star Wars figures of today compared with 1977. However, Art Asylum/Diamond Select has put out some amazing figures and ships in the last 10 years. And look at their Nikalodean TMNT figures, the actual 4 turtles, and, to an extent, April, are very well articulated....but Splinter, Shredder, the Foot Soldier and Krang for shafted by limiting their articulation, and putting in those god awful battle poses that Playmates is infamous for....seems they can't get this limited articulation and battle poses completely out of their system, it seems. Yep, Diamond Select makes great figures, yet Playmates gets Trek, they get TMNT, and they got Terminator (the 1991 LJN/Kenner figures were nicer)....I bet you anything Playmates have some sort of demonic sacrificial cult or something akin to selling their souls to keep in business, somehow, because their 2009 lines tanked, due to being crappy figures, and bad marketing....imagine how many got burnt by the Trek collent and build for their 3 3/4 inch line regarding the bridge and transporter sets, not only did they cancel wave 2, they also cancelled the remaining wave ones....and for wave one, to get the entire collect and build, you had to even buy some doubles of figures or 2 of the same character, like all the Chekovs, or all the Sulus. I pretty much have a boycott on Playmates, since they just keep making figures with 1988 standards. I can only imagine what monstrocities Playmates have planned for the next Jar Jar Abrams Crap Trek next year. |

I remember when Hot Topic used to be cool, back in the late 1990's and very early 2000's, when under ground and goth music actually was played and sold there, and could pick up a date with bad ass goth chicks (I still got the scars from those dates. )......before Justin Beaber and rapper stuff showed up on the shelves and hangers.....I should have seen this coming, since most Hot Topics by me were right across from the Old Navy's. |
