Character Options 2022 Online exclusive set

Thought I would make this a dedicated thread for this release since it is a bit different than B&M. As with it being a CO Online Exclusive that means anyone in the world can order the set.

I think it is cool we are getting some 80's monsters, but if they had added a different thrid figure it might have added to people buying more. Maybe even just doing a Turlough. That one can use the Ian Chesterton figure and just have a new head.

Supposedly, over half of the 5,000 limited run is already sold out, so I don't think they'll have trouble shifting these.

Yes, it would have been better for fans to have gotten a different figure in there, but it's better for Character's bottom line to do 3 of the same figure.

How much you want to bet there'll be a 3-pack of Warriors Sea Devils within the next year?

I would like a 1970's Silurian so the Sea Devil would have someone to pal around with. Mind you, I would like a Draconian from the 3rd Doctors Era also.

Preordered! I wish the B&M sets from last year were easier to get hold of in the US. I missed out on those.

As much as I like these, I don't think I want 3 of them. One would be fine.

So, speaking of which, I'm not a business man, but if you separate some of these sets, I'd be
more inclined to buy the one figure I like vs the whole box set. For example : You have 464 of the
Jon Pertwee in blue jacket. You could take some out and sell the figures singularly and then
I'd get the one character I like. (There's a seller on E-Bay that does this to GI Joe which
I have followed over the years.) Just a suggestion.

Hmmm...how about a retool and repack of an original Silurian, a boiler suited "miner" Pertwee (using the Auton/original Capt Jack body), and a Liz Shaw?

I like your thinking! I always knew the existing mini-skirt body (from Jo Grant) could be recycled to make Season 21 Tegan, but I kinda forgot about Liz Shaw!

It's the '70s Silurian itself that would require the most original parts, though (at the very least, a new head/upper body), so not entirely convinced they'd go along with it. Now, they might do them as a three-pack (Young Silurian, Old Silurian, Silurian Scientist)...

Hmmm. Wonder if an Ambassadors of Death set would be viable? Re-use/repaint the Doc, kit-bash a Liz Shaw and an make an Ambassador by using the Astronaut body from "The Impossible Astronaut" with new paint apps?

I think the less popular Warriors Siluirians are the online exclusive because the 1970s Silurians will be the B&M set. Just guessing!

Well, yes, I'd expect 1970s Silurians would be expected to be more popular and maybe be done for a retail release, unless the cost of tooling, etc. is too great to do only one or two in a pack with something else.

I fully expect there'll be a follow-up online exclusive 3-pack of Samurai-helmeted Sea Devils at some point.

I just checked and mine has shipped today, February 18th. So now it is just a wait for that neat little brown box from the UK!

Ordered mine on the 15th, finally got it today!
