| Hello everyone! It's been a while. I sort of moved away from the toy collecting to focus more on prop replicas, but when I sold off all fo my Character Options figures, playsets, and customs, earlier last year, I kept my Daleks. I figured they would look best on the shelf for my interests. That said, I'm short on space, so right now they live in boxes. However I finally got my hands on the Eaglemoss Emperor Dalek, which sort of sparked my interest in finishing my collection again. Now I know that the Dalek Emperor figurine is too small to actually fit in with the 5" line of Daleks, but I feel it looks good with them all the same. Now, I'm not a huge fan of CO's first go at the NSD shape, I much prefer the redesigned figure of the Crucible Dalek, which was also used for the Imperial Guard Dalek, the Ironsides, and Dalek Sec (maybe more? I haven't really kept up), but my favorite Daleks of all time are the Cult of Skaro, so I just had to have the new Dalek Sec, but that meant that the rest of the Cult would be the old body type. So I got my hands on a few more Crucible Daleks, and along with some spare parts that I bought when CO still sold spare parts, I went to work on my custom Cult of Skaro. The ID tags were a pain in the backside to paint, given how small the area is, so I know they aren't perfect, but they came out better than I had expected! So first up is the Cult of Skaro (Dalek Sec is not a custom and the Genesis Arc is not pictured, although I do have it) And one of an in progress Insane Dalek Caan Next, I might as well get to the Emperor Dalek where I did the ID tag in a different way, which I may change: |

| Next up, to go with the Emperor I made two customized Imperial Guard Daleks from the Eccleston 2pack set For the first I used the arm from the 3 1/4 line Daleks, which I had to modify to fit For the second one, I made the arm from a Crucible Dalek Arm and an older Dalek gun arm. Now I am aware that there is art out there with only two fins, but then there is also CGI work with three, so I opted for three. The a simple one, I added the Assault Dalek arm to the weathered Crucible Dalek to get a nice new body Assault Dalek, which I also slightly altered the ID tag. |

| Two simple ones here. I made a Crucible Dalek from a Crucible Vault Dalek by adding a sucker arm and altering the ID tag to match one from on screen. Likewise I used a Crucible Dalek to make the Progenitor Guardian Dalek by doing the same. |

| And lastly, for now, I made Metaltron (sadly I had to forgo the gold belt) by altering the ID tag on the 5" talking Dalek, which I thought had a good tone match for the Metaltron, aside from the belt again. The a long time ago I made a Mutant Reveal Metaltron from the actual Mutant Reveal Dalek, however I upgraded it with the new design sucker and gun arms and a modified eyestalk. And last by not least, a quick group photo before I either have to box them up again or find a nice shelf for them. I also have a Dalek Inquisitor General aka Dalek X (the RC Battle Dalek) with upgraded parts from "The Prisoner of the Daleks) and two custom made Imperial Guard Daleks to go with him, but they are not pictured as I wanted to focus on the new body design (excluding the Insane Dalek Caan and the open Metaltron). |

| Thanks guys! Overall I’m happy with how the ID tags have turned out, although I do wish that the old NSD body style and the new one had more swappable parts. It would have been nice to use the domes from the actual Cult of Skaro figures.

Thank you! I've done a couple more mods. After doing more research I realized that the claw arm Imperial Guard Dalek actually had two claw halves and two fins, so I made a new arm. The fins are Crucible Vault Dalek fin shaped right now, and they may stay that way as it looks nice but I may also take some sand paper or a blade to them to reshape and paint accordingly. Then I also did more to Insane Dalek Caan by adding some of the blue wiring to match the show. I wanted to add the gunmetal coiling as well, but since they are attached to the stacks next to Caan, I'm not sure I want to do that unless I make a base for him. I'm undecided. And, sadly, I can't find the spare chains that I had so they'll be updated later. |
