Prologue
Dalek Unit 8164392 disengaged from his position at the control podium, a hexagonal raised platform positioned at the center of the bridge. The Dalek, encased in advanced Metalert armor, was in charge of operations on the battlecruiser Kai-Saka Mur, an infamous ship with the primary function of hunting down and exterminating insurgence from conquered slave races inside of Mutter's Spiral. Its name translated to "Pursued Victory." Unlike the Imperial Mothership Eret-Mensaika Ska, it was built in a purely functional manor, decades after the Dalek Renaissance on Skaro, and was entirely unaesthetic. As such, it was, like most Dalek battlecruisers of that era, almost entirely silver and featureless, save for weapon protrusions and hexagonal panels scattered around its exterior. However, it was also stained with battlescars, including long streaks of carbon scoring, an indicator of its heavy use in combat, and a potentianl recognition factor. The Dalek Unit 8164392 had not had these removed, as it believed the war marks to affect the fear and emotions of the inferior beings whom were its enemies from birth.
On this occasion, however, it had been tasked with searching for and locating an elusive rogue who was responsible for sabatoging and even destroying several Dalek outposts. The PathWeb provided access to recorded descriptions of the rogue, but he was not known by any name. The former evidence against his crimes proved his efforts against the Daleks were ultimately no match for superior Dalek technology. He had, however escaped each time from nearby Dalek patrols after his acts of terrorism via a stealthy transport shuttle, but the Daleks had been able to track this across space to the planet designated 99-7A32, also known as Arkeron. A barren world, full of jungles; the Daleks had not bothered to colonize it due to its lack of specific resources and importance in space. Patrol ships rarely visited its star system, as no activity of interest had occurred there previously.
"Coordinates locked. We will reach the planet Arkeron in 900 Rels." Said a harsh, monotone voice. The Dalek co-pilot, who, unlike his superior Unit, was not clad in Metalert, but standard polycarbide armor. Most of the Daleks present on the bridge were silver, but the Dalek Commander was the exception. Its casing held a shining blue tint. Its sensor globes were silver, and the slats on its midsection were gold, as was the collar underneath the slats. This clearly indicated it held a position of power among its Dalek brethren, and the will to use it; this would also be noticed by any inferiors fortunate enough to be exterminated by it.
Nothing would stand in the way of its mission. It would accomplish its task. It was a Dalek.
