Halo, a videogame series started in 2001 with Halo: Combat Evolved, is an extremely popular First Person Shooter. Halo has had a large impact on society for its time, rivaling perhaps even Star Wars.

In 2001, Halo: Combat Evolved was released by Bungie alongside Microsoft for the original Xbox console. Many say it saved the Xbox, as a large number who bought the Xbox bought Halo with it.

Halo 2, a sequal to Halo: Combat Evolved, was released in 2004 for the Original Xbox. Considered by many to be the best Halo game, it introduced multiplayer over Xbox LIVE, and helped define the online FPS multiplayer experience.

Halo 3, released in 2007 for the Xbox 360, is the final installment in the original Halo trilogy, its tagline being "Finish the fight" and a long awaited sequal to Halo 2's cliffhanger ending.

Then, in 2008, Halo Wars was released, a Real Time Strategy game produced by Ensemble Studios, alongside Microsoft. It is currently is the best selling console RTS, released on the Xbox 360

Halo 3: ODST, released by Bungie alongside Microsoft, is an FPS taking place between the events of Halo 2 and Halo 3, coming out in 2009, released on the Xbox 360

Then came Halo: Reach in 2010, Bungie's final Halo game before moving on to other projects, released alongside Microsoft for the Xbox 360. Reach is a prequel game, taking place before the events of Halo: Combat Evolved.

In 2011, 343 Industries, put in charge of Halo by Microsoft, released Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, a remastered edition of the original Halo: Combat Evolved with redone graphics, sound effects and music.

Halo 4, released in 2012 on November 6 by 343 Industries, was 343i's first non-remake Halo game. Introducing new composers for the game's soundtrack and a slightly different style of gameplay, also the beginning of the Reclaimer Saga.

I'll be adding more to this later, but go ahead and discuss.
