This story was originally planned for Season 15, but the BBC was airing their own Dracula story around the same time. So they vetoed it to help with the credibility of the Dracula serial. It was replaced by Horror of Fang Rock in season 15.

A pretty solid vampire story from former script editor Terrance Dicks. Very atmospheric and shadowy, underlined by a great score from Paddy Kingsland, makes this a creepy gem.

A hidden treasure.
