| At Hurricane Who today in Orlando, I met Peter Davison!! I was in costume, and was so nervous of his reaction, but he said "You look marvelous!!" and "just fantastic" I showed him my cricket ball and he took it and said that he should hold it in the picture! He was so amazing and seemed very happy to be there and talk to everyone! Also there was Frazer Hines, and got to chat with him briefly. He praised my costume and asked if Peter has seen it. I showed him the picture, and he spotted the cricket ball. I told him it was mine, not Peter's and handed it to him. He showed me a few grips for various pitches and handed the ball around to others who had never seen one. He explained how the ball is caught bare handed at 60-70 mph. And it hurts! |

| Now that I am home,I am kicking myself for not asking Frazer about a Jamie action figure! Also, both were asked about participating in a special next year, and both say they have not been contacted. Frazer also hinted we may get more animated episodes coming for the 2nd Doctor, if only 1 or 2 episodes are missing. |

| Besides the stuff we can get here, there was a lot of old items, books, magazines, etc. And a lot of artwork and pins, key chains, and other trinkets. I found a TARDIS Key and a Seal of Rassilon bookmark of nice metal. I also found a copy of Lungbarrow from New Adventures for $40 which is a great price. And I picked up a FX Dalek too. |

I met him this year, too, and he is great, isn't he? He was so nice and gave a great presentation! He told a bit about how he found out that his daughter was dating David. And joked about how weird it is. Also,he is really hoping to be involved in the celebrations next year. |

| That's great that you got to meet Peter, and that's a great picture of the two of you! I love that he wanted to hold up the cricket ball. I got to meet him at Chicago TARDIS last year, and he was really nice and funny! |

| That's almost a VERY accurate 'Newberry' build! The Matt Smith version looks like the toy brought close to the camera. Wonderful shots, but the 'proper' 4th dr pic wins the cigar, lol. |

| I met Peter in Toronto a few years ago - 2004. It was a very crowded and very noisy venue. He'd already done a few hours of autograph signing in the morning and I saw him in his afternoon session. Even though he must have been tired by this point, he was wonderful. He either genuinely enjoys meeting his fans, or respects his fans enough to use his acting ability to make us believe that he does. Either way, I was impressed. I became an even bigger fan of the 5th Dr after meeting him. I had him sign my DW Pinball bumper sticker "I Don't Brake for Daleks". I expect he's seen everything, but he laughed when he saw it. |

| I think he really does enjoy it! He spent those few seconds he had with every fan and, at least for me,made me feel like I was the most important part of his life while you were there. I don't think he could stay in character that long! |

| You know, while Peter Davison might be my least favorite Doctor (I just don't "feel" his portrayal like the others) it speaks to the man's credit as an actor and a person that he continue to give and receive such positive reactions.
While this may be presumptuous for a guy who got into the franchise with David Tennant, but I think the reason Doctor Who has survived and thrived for nearly 50 years is the quality of the people both in front of and behind the camera. There's a class to the people that work on this show that I don't think other franchises have gotten. |

| Ironic that you say you got into Doctor Who with David, since David watched Peter as a child!! And now fathers Peter's Grandchildren!!
Peter Davison was my first regeneration, and the first Doctor I ever watched at almost the same time as when he was broadcast. He was new to everyone who saw him then, no reruns. Maybe that is just part of the reason he hold a special spot in my heart, right next to Jon! But I did enjoy his portrayal, his youth, his excitement. And several of his episodes rank in my list of all time favorites. Earthshock, Enlightenment, Mawdryn Undead, Caves of Androzoni. And it was during his era that I first saw Pertwee and the Brigadier, who would soon become my favorites! |
