| No. No it's not.
Or at the very least, not for me. It's an enjoyable science fiction program. |

| Pop culture itself has nearly supplanted religion. You can even break the geeks down into equivalent denominations. Comic book fans are like of rabid born-agains (not that all born agains are rabid - you know the ones I mean). Tell a comic book fan you didn't like The Avengers movie and you'll see what I'm talking about. |

| Does that make us general sci fi fans 'Sci-fi-tologists'?
Also, I think that the main thing that makes a religion is belief. There is a huge difference between enjoying Who/Trek/Wars and actually believing they are real. THOSE are the people who have issues.
Once again, I don't see how sci fi fans are any different from hardcore sports fans or wrasslin nuts. It's just a hobby. |

| I've been saying THAT for years - if you can name the shortstop on the 1963 Pittsburgh Pirates or know the specs of an engine just by looking at a car, you're a flippin' geek. |

| The Beast - "Before time, and light and space and matter. Before the cataclysm, before this universe was created." The Doctor - "That's impossible, no life could have existed back then." The Beast - "Is that your religion?" The Doctor - "It's a belief." |
