Caroline John: RIP

I didn't see any thread on this topic, but I saw that Caroline John passed away on 5 June 2012. She will be missed.

Oh crap. no. I was just watching a feature with her last night, so sad.....again.

WAYYYYY underrated companion. One of the few who could stand toe-to-toe with the Doctor as a peer in the field of science. And she's human.

No! Liz was brilliant! I loved her in Silurians and Inferno. It feels like the Whoniverse is forever getting smaller these days, what with everyone leaving us... So sad. But at least she's in a better place.

Loved the recent "Girls, Girls, Girls! The 70's" piece from the special edition of The Three Doctors where she, Katy, and Louise sat down together.

We still have the new features on the SE of Spearhead from Space and the upcoming Ambassadors of Death, including her commentary contributions, to look forward to.

How about her beautiful smile to brighten our day a little...

That would be from the end of Inferno......the last time we saw the real Liz in the show.......

Very sad news but considering the age of the show were going to have to expect more news like this.

Seeing her in Inferno made me respect the character of Liz Shaw as a truly strong companion. I looked forward to seeing the other episodes she was in. At the time Inferno was the only story from that season my PBS station broadcast.

I will probably pop in the Hound of the Baskervilles with Tom Baker she appeared in this weekend.

Very sorry to learn of this. Liz Shaw was a great companion. Caroline John's passing is another loss.

I just found out about this tragic news. So darn sad . Hopefully in the future release of 'Ambassadors' or 'Inferno' they put that lovely theme tune Ron Grainer did for her character that was used in 'Spearhead' and the 'chase scene' in 'Ambassadors', a fitting tribute.
Jon's team, all too sudden to go.
Only recently i saw her advert for dogs in care. God bless her soul.
