The original Dark Shadows has lost it's vampire that made the show legendary. Frid passed away peacfully April 13th at the age of 87. Very sad.

I've only watched the first 2 volumes of the pre-Barnabas era DS eps, but I did see House of Dark Shadows a long time ago.

Definitely going to be getting the full series set at some point. Need to experience the REAL Barnabas Collins.
