Bytes from Grail:

"Food digests better if you chew it first."

"Don't talk. I've seen you eat. Does the term Doppler Effect ring a bell?"
-----
"Well your Honor, a few days later, my great-grandfather Amos came back into town and told everyone he had been taken away on this ship by aliens. They held him for two days, doing experiments on him: sticking him with needles, and there were flashing lights..."

"Get to the point, Mr Flynn"

"I'm just getting there your Honor. Everybody figured he was a little nuts, you know what I mean? He couldn't get a job; his children were shut out from everybody in town. Nobody believed him.

That's why I'm here today, your Honor. We went through their archives and found proof that his great-grandfather abducted my great-grandfather, and just took him away in a spaceship. Frankly, your Honor- we want damages!"
-----
"The only good NaKaLeen is a dead NaKaLeen."
-----
"These two sides of your culture (the religious and warrior castes), do they ever agree on anything?"

"Yes, and when they do, it is a terrible thing."
-----
"One person's lunatic is another person's true seeker."

"You've been hanging out with Delenn too much."
-----
"Fools to the left of me. Feeders to the right of me. I need to find a real job."
-----
"See yourself for what you are, not what others try and make you."
-----
"It's a hard thing to live your life searching for something and never find it."

"Are you speaking of Aldous, or someone else?"
-----
"When they are about to attack, they get quiet. So the key is, as long as you can hear them, as long as there's noise around, you're safe. But if you ever hear nothing, worry."

"That's interesting. That's very interesting. ... It's awfully quiet out here, isn't it, Ambassador?"
-----
"No boom?"

"No boom."

"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow. What? Somebody's gotta have some perspective here. Boom. Sooner or later... Boom!"

Bytes from Eyes:

"I don't drink."

"Really? Good. It's a vile habit when abused. It makes a soldier weak. Gets him in a lot of trouble."
-----
"I will not submit to a telepathic scan, Commander. It's against my person and my principles."

"I don't like it any better than you do. Enough people have played with my brain already this year."
-----
Look, I know you are a by-the-book guy, Jeff, but let's face it. We've re-written the book a few times to make B5 work... and made a few enemies along the way."
-----
"Ah, Mr Garibaldi. I was just about to embark on the mysteries of the fuel injection system..."
-----
"Susan, why are you so afraid of being scanned? Surely your mother must have made contact with your mind at one time or another..."
-----
"I've seen plenty like you. Hotshots, promoted up through the ranks without any real leadership ability. You think because you fought on The Line that normal military standards don't apply to you. Well, think again, hero. As of this moment I am relieving you of your command pending a full inquiry before a military tribunal."
-----
"I won't submit to a scan."

"He'll charge you with insubordination."

"And I will be replaced and dishonorably discharged. It's a very Russian ending. I should have expected it."
-----
"The intent of a question is sometimes as important as the answer."
-----
"It's too bad we can't ride it."

"oh, it's quite rideable."

"Don't tell me you came up with some gas, too?"

"Gasoline is harmful to both living beings and the atmosphere, as your people discovered. I have installed a Minbari power source instead. Clean and efficient."

(impressed) "Get out of here!"

"Yes, of course."

"No no no, wait wait! I didn't mean go..."

Bytes for Legacies:

"There is nothing more annoying than Mr Garibaldi when he is right."
-----
"There is no higher testimony to a warrior's courage and skill than praise from his enemy."
-----
"Branmer's life was more significant than his battles. Let the warrior caste praise his courage in war. Let the rest praise him for what he truly was, a man of peace."

"You talk like a Minbari, Commander. Perhaps there was some small wisdom in letting your species survive."
-----
"Alysa, there's something I've been wondering. When you looked into Delenn's mind, did you see anything else, anything unusual?"

"There was one other thing. A word: chrysalis. I don't know what it means..."

Bytes from A Voice in the Wilderness:

"It seems like every time I get into the tube, Mr Garibaldi's there, like he knows."

"Talia, Mr Garibaldi is many things, but he's not omniscient."

(The tube doors open, and Mr Garibaldi is standing inside with a grin on his face)

"I think I will take the stairs."

"I think I will join you..."

"Ambassador GKar is angry much of the time, but even the greatest anger fades with time."

"My dear Ambassador Delenn, I am sure for you this is true. But for GKar and his people, they will do all they can to destroy us, until the universe itself decays and collapses. If the Narns all stood in one place, and hated, all at the same time... that hatred could fly across dozens of light years and reduce Centauri Prime to a ball of ash. That's how much they hate us.

"You don't have to respond in kind."

"Of course we do. It's a natural law. Physics tells us that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. They hate us, we hate them, they hate us back... so here we are- victims of mathematics."
-----
"Quickly, what is the third principle of sentient life?"

"Drall!"

"Incorrect answer. The third principle of sentient life is the capacity for self sacrifice. The conscious ability to override evolution and self preservation for a cause, a friend, a loved one. "
-----
"As ISN viewers may know, contact with the Mars colony has been cut off since noon today, Earth standard time. We are now receiving confirmation that an open revolt is in progress against the Earth appointed provisional government..."
-----
"The guerillas, whose ancestors migrated to Mars from Earth over the past hundred years, have demanded independence for the Mars colony, or and I quote "The sand will run red with Earther blood."
-----
"Psi Corps' got an intelligence and training operation in Syria Planum..."

"How did you know about the center? That's supposed to be classified."

"It is, but that's never stopped me before."
-----
"On your trip back, I would like you to take the time to learn the Babylon 5 mantra: Ivanova is always right. I will listen to Ivanova. I will not ignore Ivanova's recommendations. Ivanova is God. And, if this ever happens again, Ivanova will personally rip your lungs out!"
-----
"Mr Garibaldi, whatever it is... it can't be that bad."

"You try and kiss me, and I'll break your arm."
-----
"Commander, I think I have to go to the bathroom."

"Tell me about it."
-----
"Here. Six thousand years of recorded history. A history that includes remarkable composers, astonishing symphonies... but what is the one song that half of them sing to their children generation after generation?

'You put your right hand in. You put your right hand out. You put your whole self in, and you turn yourself about. You do the Hokey Pokey and give a little shout. That's what its all about!'

It doesn't mean anything. I've been studying it for seven days. I had the computer analyze it. I swear to you, it does not mean a thing!"

Bytes from A Voice in the Wilderness Part II-

"Magic? You wanna see magic? I've got a little magic trick for you. I'll make your head magically pass through the top of the bar! I need complete silence, or I'll have to ask for another volunteer from the bar.

Let's see, what was that magic word again? Shazam?

(slams the guy's head into the bar)

"Nope, that's not it. Tell you what, I'll go home and look in my books and then I'll come back. If you're still talking trash about killing Marsies, we will try it again and again (another slam) ...until we get it right."
-----
"So if we go down there, it blows. If we don't, it blows anyway, just a little later. Good thing I'm Russian. We're used to hopeless situations."
-----
"Why the end run around us... when you figured out someone would have to take Varn's place down there, why not come to us and let us handle it?"

"Because if I had, I know in my heart that Commander Sinclair would be the one down there right now. He's looking for a purpose... but his destiny lies elsewhere."
-----
"Franz. What the heck kind of a name is Franz..."

Bytes from Babylon Squared:

"I'll notify your next of kin."

"4... 3... 2... 1..."

"Garibaldi! You're a dead man!"
-----
"Summoned, I come. In Valen's name, I take the place that is prepared for me. I am gray. I stand between the candle and the star. We are gray. We stand between the darkness and the light."
-----
"Babylon 5, you say? Oh my God... what year is it?"
-----
"Says his name is Zathras. We don't know how he got aboard, where he came from, or what race he is.
I've never seen an alien like him before."

"Ahhhhh... not the one."

"Not the one what?"

"You're not the one."
-----
"The triluminary? I can't."

"There are still two others. It won't be missed for a time. If you are right, you will have more need of it than we will."
-----
"Who knows? It may show up again sometime."

"Well if it does, this time I'm going, and Garibaldi is staying here."

Too bad that episodes get produced out of airing order... Delenn starts adding to the decor in her quarters in Legacies, filmed right before Signs and Portents but aired 4 eps after.

Still, I love that essentially from that point you get to see Delenn slowly working on it throughout the eps til the end. Hidden in plain sight Very Happy

Bytes from The Quality of Mercy

"You can start by removing your clothes..."

"Not without dinner and flowers."
-----
"All her life, the only thing that mattered to my mother was being a doctor. A healer. She worked days, nights, weekends... she could never keep up with it all so she started taking stims to stay up nights working. Pretty soon she was taking them all the time. Addicted. She wouldn't admit it and wouldn't listen to anyone..."
-----
"Is it cold in here, or is it just me?"
-----
"I'm still waiting for an explanation, gentlemen."

"And I am prepared to give you one, Commander, as soon as the room stops spinning."
-----
"In Minbari culture, we are taught that it is an honor to help another save face."
-----
"When we were at the gaming table, somehow a part of you reached out for the cards... what was that?"

(whispers) "It's true. Here, Li, goddess of passion- a synthesis of male and female Centauri. Did you think these were just decorations?"

"I'm going to take a vow of silence concerning this entire conversation."
