| So a lot of people complain about how Rory "dies" a lot. Can someone please enlighten me on what they mean. I can only remember him dying at certain times.
-When the silurian shot him. (Real death)
-The big bang (everyone died so no big deal)
-The curse of the black spot (He doesn't actually die)
-The doctors wife (Once again, all that does is show him aged into the future, which everyone will have happen to them so that doesn't count)
Are their any i'm missing? |

| Yeah, he doesn't really 'die a lot', as people say. I don't understand it either. He died once. The other Series 5 one, in Amy's Choice, ok...I'll count that as him dying in a way too.....but everything this season...him pretending to be dead in the premiere, his near-death experience in Black Spot (and I'm not even counting Doctor's Wife, that's not even close to a death), none of those are actually deaths. He's had as many near-death mishaps as the rest of the Tardis crew. Nobody complains about Amy dying...... |

| Not only has he died, we have been led to believe he died many times. Spoilers below for all episodes Rory has been in up to "The Doctor's Wife." - Spoiler:
* Amy's Choice (dies in the Leadworth dream, then again when the Doctor makes the dream TARDIS explode) * Cold Blood (Shot by Restac) * The Big Bang (The Centurion is thought to have died) * The Impossible Astronaut (Flash of light, River yells "Rory!") * Day of the Moon (Canton stages an execution) * Curse of the Black Spot (Doesn't really die, but ALMOST drowns) * The Doctor's Wife (A trick by House to make it look like Rory has been trapped in the TARDIS corridors and has died of old age)
EIGHT would-be deaths! |

| yeah, thought to have died, almost died, makes it look like he died, etc..... He only really died once, though. If you make it that detailed (like even when River yells his name there in IA), then Amy's "died" in that sense just as many times. |

| See. One death. Maybe they should just kill him off so people stop mentioning them. Now don't get me wrong i think rory is magnificent and i love having him as a companion but it seems like everyone thinks he dies to much. |

| I think the general idea that Moff keeps making us think he's dead or keeps killing him and then not killing him is just so annoying and boring. It's like he can't think of anything else better to do. - Spoiler:
It's like "A Good Man Goes to War" will see all the old monsters come back, just like Series 5's finale. Does he seriously not have any other ideas?
It reminds of when you're young and you're playing with your favourite action figure and your brother/sister gets one of their toys and kills it non stop and you come up with absolutely any stupid, unrealistic storyline to bring your toy back to life again. Oh also, he died briefly in "Amy's Choice." |

| ok, so i have to say this. back in the forum for the time of angels, i said jokignly that rory would be the good man that river would kill. now all the promo pics of a good man goes to war are of rory. i'm really going to hate if i was right.
on a separate rant, why does moff have to make side characters almost as important as the doctor? rory is an auton/dying maching that keeps coming back. amy saves the day all the time. i know certain people didn't like rose, but she was a god for just one episode, not all the episodes like moff makes the side characters. i just can't relate to them. |
