Yeah, even during the trailer proper I thought the Clown was Matt Smith.

Call me crazy...but I believe this is Stephen Moffat. The way it's written...It just
feels like Moffat. And if not, it's a very cleverly written comment by a fan. I
find it very interesting that he says "it also belonged to one Doctor (or maybe
even two?)" in reference to the retro TARDIS. 8th Doctor speculation...?

To further back my speculation it's Moffat....the commenter's name links to the Official Scotland Website (Moffat's home), and the name "ManofVirtue" might just be referencing Moffat's
wife, Sue Vertue.

This is why I do not generally watch tv shows still being aired.

Now I too am hoping to see Eight and when he's not there I'll be but then be "meh" for the rest of series 6 like I was for series 5.
