| I'm overtly excited about new Who. Anyone else?
I know I'll cry like a little girl when I re-watch the regeneration and the realization sets in that our beloved David Tennant is no more, but with every end comes a new beginning.
Your thoughts and/or concerns are welcome regarding this topic. |

| Do you live in the UK scarywood? If so, enjoy watching it instantly on tv and not having to wait to download it or worse yet wait for it to air in your country hehehe /impatient |

| So looking forward to the new start although it's a little bittersweet for me. I introduced my ex to DW and this will be the first time that I'll be watching it on my own. I plan on watching The End of Time again before I see the new stories though. Can't wait for them! |

I plan on watching The End of Time again before I see the new stories though. Can't wait for them! I had the same problem. I had gotten my ex into Doctor Who, Spaced, IT Crowd, SG-1, ect. and I had found that after the break up everything I enjoyed felt ruined. That faded after I came to my senses and realized that these were things that I'd liked before him and things that helped me throughout my life and made me grow into the person I am today (and that's happy and healthy without him, that's for sure!) I just tried to re-watch The End of Time, but I have to say, I'd prefer to watch it with a friend. Unfortunately friends aren't a high commodity for me and the very few I do have aren't into Who. That being said I have totally geeked out and made my own version of the theme song with my acoustic and a loop from this http://lab.andre-michelle.com/tonematrix hahaha |

It is eminently playable isn't it? Grainer sure was onto something-- I've got a whole bracket of theme rearrangements that I'll probably never finish. |

Indeed it is. I almost always (unconsciously and inadvertently) end up playing some version of it whilst playing any instrument lol |

/impatient Haha, yeah I do. Didn't mean to rub it in, sorry
...11 minutes! Not only is he in the UK, he is 12! The perfect Who-fan age!!!
So, how was it??? Haha, indeed. It was fantastic. It was great to finally see Matt in full action, and heck is he awesome! I think he'll still take some getting used to, and Tennant will still be my favourite, but I really enjoyed this episode. It wasn't a fantastic plot, but good enough. A real big let down is the new title sequence and the theme tune. Its so slow and depressing. Really angers me because the theme tune hardly resembles the original thing anymore. |

| I mostly agree with the general sentiment thus far-- but I will say I like the overall feel of the new theme; it's just those first few bars that aren't right to me. That new chord progression feels weird and is a bit too slow and buried too far (or not far enough!) in the mix. Once the familiar lead bit kicks in things are fine though. |

| That was brilliant not the best story in the world but the acting brought it to life! |

| This new theme song makes me want to cry. Alas, there is nothing for it so I give in and accept Matt Smith as the new Doctor. He is good and has yet to reach his best potential. Think how good he will be by the end of the season. |
